Doesn't even have to be 9 and the comment that it is a courtesy to the player was already made. Get him signed, get him into their vibe-atorium of a dressing room and offer a taste of the bigs. It will get him (and the team) a chance to see what he needs to work on for the summer.

None of them have Dahlin or Power's pedigree.

Noting for future reference that despite the fact that he is 19 years old, Power will not be eligible to have his ELC slide. Assuming that he signs to finish out the season, he'll burn the first year of his three year ELC, regardless of how many games he plays.
