Oates, Kariya, Crosby, Toews come to mind; who else over 30 doesn't have kids?
and the point is?
I've always presumed that, but can't completely confirm itjagr?
In as much as he can confirm it, he didn't recognize any at his retirement ceremony...he thanked his parents, he thanked his girlfriend - who he noted was not born yet when he was dominating in Pittsburgh...no kids.I've always presumed that, but can't completely confirm it

That's an interesting one. Not to derail the thread but Stevie Nicks, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Aniston, Dicaprio, Oprah come to mind. Not sure on these, though.Outside of hockey I would say Dolly Parton is perhaps the most famous person that didn't have any children that I can randomly think of at the moment. Although she did aid in raising some younger siblings.
Most definitely does, at least had two in the 80's.I would assume there would be plenty of players past and present that have no children that are over 30. People are having kids later in life unfortunately, and I think that applies to athletes too. So if you can think of people in your life without children over 30 - and we all can - I assume that applies to a lot of hockey players too.
The first name that came to mind for me was Sean Avery. I mean, even in his 40s that guy isn't a father is he? Yep, he is. He and his ex-wife have a son.
Derek Sanderson is 78 and while he and his ex-wife had a child die at birth in 1981 I don't think he had any children after this. So I guess he counts here.
Brent Burns has three children. Wouldn't have guessed it!
Maybe someone can confirm this but I don't believe Billy Smith had children. At least I can't confirm that he does have them. No mention of them.
