The puck's rotation clearly changes at some point after it hits Ovi's glove. It definitely hit either one of those guys' sticks - no question in my mind about that; however, it's too inconclusive to tell who.

I think the notion of a ref's call on the ice standing is kind of dumb. Isn't the review supposed to determine that? A ref can't possibly make the right call 100% of the time in plays like this.

The real bummer here is that we still don't have the technology/camera angles...etc to make a definitive call. Also, for all of the reviews we've seen over the past year, that was probably the fastest one I've seen. How it took such a small time was beyond me.

To summarize, I think it's pretty easy to see why the refs called this a no goal and why all replays were inconclusive. IF Ovechkin hit the puck with his stick, it was with extremely minimal contact. IF it was Oveckhin and not Strålman.

Scandal? How are you so sure it hit Ovechkin's stick? If it hit Strålman's glove or stick, it's not a goal.

will say this though, ovechkin wouldnt have acted that way unless he really thought he hit it.

he probably thought he did but in the replay you can see he hits Strahlmans stick, not the puck

It hit STRÃ…LMAN'S stick, not Ovechkin's. You can clearly see it in the replay with different angles, especially when you zoom in.

No scandal here, good try though.
