I doubt Ovi will play that long. He most likely breaks Gretzky's record, pass 900 goals & then he will exit the NHL after the next season when his contract expires.

As players age into their late 30's they need some luck to keep on going. I'm not talking about puck luck but rather luck with no serious injury or a nagging less serious one. The 1500 games played mark is a huge one with only 21 players ever doing it even if Modano retired after 1499 games
