Figuring we hear something today. I have a feeling this is worse than Caps are letting on.Has there been any news other than the " week to week " ? I understood that he was supposed to be checked by the doctor yesterday.

If true, makes some sense....looked line shin to side of shin type contact....didn't seem to be much pressure on ankle where you'd expect HAS or something and that probably explains why he was at least able to put weight on the leg and lift himself up.Dreger is saying that the Ovie injury is not knee related.
This could potentially be a hairline fracture if that is true.

The record survives another season
Shitty timing, not that there's ever a good time.
The guy barely miss anytime during his career, he is far from unlucky.Knowing Ovie's luck, we might be in the midst of a nuclear war when he's ready to return
Strongly disagree! Last season he had like 8 goals in the first 43 games and then 23 in the 2nd half of the season. He was scoring .83 goals per game(15 in 18). If OV misses 6 weeks, he will miss 18 games. That puts the Caps at 36 games, with another 46 to play. If OV gets 27 in 46, that is only .58 goals per game. The record survives another season
