Any update on his health?
He is fine, the NHL scheduled the FLA/WSH series last to ensure he gets maximum days to recover! We´ve seen this before with Ovi. Grimaging in pain, exciting the game. The big drama in the media, 10 Ovi health updates per day, condolences from people around the Caps org. And then he is back within a week or so and the story is about the grand miracle comeback.
don’t use logicAh yes, Leonsis slipped Bettman a cheque under the table to ensure that the series starts on the 2nd day instead of the first one. How do you come up with this nonsense?

And there we have it, just like promised. It was almost a little cute how they all acted like Ovi was actually hurt! But I´ve seen the same scrip too many time to get fooled by it.

He is coming up with new things to whine about.Buddy, the guys on your favourite team are always hurt, that’s why no one talks about it. Ovechkin rarely gets hurt, that’s why it draws attention.
That and the fact that the Caps’ playoff hopes are pretty much 100% on him. I don’t know why you go out of your way to be critical on something so trivial, give it a rest.

Or alternatively stop watching! This is no longer relevant to the thread. I'm telling you as a site admin to move along.
Not as a site admin: if you honestly can't figure out that teams will rest players with small injuries near the end of the regular season when things are relatively settled, then perhaps you should watch more sports.
I think at this point the goals will come, the only question is how ugly it will get in terms of hurting his team in the end.
His hot start aside he isn't a positive player at ES anymore and that isn't going to get any better with age.
This season alone he has since Jan 1st a line of 41-24-13-37 (minus 15) and that minus partially hides the ENG and he is already playing 75% offensive zones starts at ES.

At some point the race for Gretzky's record is going to hurt even more than it does right now.
Seriously dude?
But I guess that will get you the likes you want and deflect attention away from the stats right?
Here they are again and it's extremely clear that he is hurting the team at ES.

That’s a pretty cool stat. I wonder if there are other players who scored at least one goal in all their playoff series (Let’s say 20 series minimum).Ovechkin has now scored at least one goal in every playoff series he’s ever been in.
That's 23 playoff series in total.
