Ovechkin at his peak was way more dangerous than Jagr at his peak as a Penguins fan.

Peak Lindros versus peak MacKinnon / Kucherov isn't really comparable. Lindros had one good season and it was because it was an expedited season.

Peak Kucherov is a 140+ forward who can put up 30+ pts in the playoffs.

Peak MacKinnon is a 140+ forward and arguably the best playoff performer we've seen in the cap era.

I don't really see the comparison at all unless you are a '90s guy being biased.

Lindros before injuries was only behind Gretzky and Lemieux in career ppg... and after injuries still scored above ppg until 2003

92-93: 75 points in 61 games
93-94: 97 points in 65 games
94-95: 70 points in 46 games (the ONE good season you're crediting him with)
95-96: 115 points in 73 games
96-97: 79 points in 52 games
97-98: 71 points in 63 games (had his first concussion in this season)
98-99: 93 points in 71 games

then he fell off a bit and took the Stevens hit in the next season.

Line 1

OV ia a top 12 player all time

Kucherov and Mackinnon will end top 30ish by the time they retire maybe crack top 20 if they can have another 2 seasons like this past one

Kariya is in the 80-100 range with injuries hurting him

Lindros is same range due to injuries, but if he had been healthy hes likely top 12ish all time as well

Jagr is top 12 all time.

L1 is better due to the third guy being better than Kariya.

Mack vs Jagr - close enough that if Mackinnon has 2 more top 3 player in the league seasons its a minimal gap

Kuch vs Lindros - lindros at his peak would have been a bit better than kucherov not a tier ahead

OV vs Kariya - land slide, OV is 9-12 all time, while Peak Kariya if fully healthy probably ends in late 30s to mid 40s all time

I voted line 2, but in hockey, I think if you have enough skill, anyone can beat anyone. Look at the olympics and nhl, upsets happen all the time because superstar ice hockey players don’t impact the game like a baseball starting pitcher, or an nfl quarterback, or nba player. Back in 2014, Canada with a 100 million plus dollar roster barely beat Latvia 2-1. So when I see 2 awesome lines pinned against each other, in a 3v3 format, if it were to be played out today, any of these lines has a good chance.just comes down to your preference.

In their prime? This is pretty easily Ovechkin-MacKinnon-Kucherov. Jagr is the best overall player but it's not enough.

At even strength Line 2.
Power Play--MacKinnon moving the puck, Kucherov passing, Ovie shooting. Thinking Line 1 has a decent advantage.
