Chiarot. Hes sand paper type of dman. Gardiner is soft. Better on PP but we already have this type of dman in mete and petry. Chiarot bring something else and less paid

I didn't want Gardiner in the first place but to claim that Mete and Petry are good on the power play when we had the 30th ranked power play last year is a stretch imo.

Mete averages 0.17 pts per game, and has ZERO goals in two full seasons...
after matching the OS offer to Aho, surprised to see the Canes having enough $ to grab Gardiner!

Probably neither but Gardiner you can atleast flip at the deadline for something decent should he get his usual share of points.

Same type of player. : mobility, quickness, rush offense, some difficulty in his own zone. Where did i mention they produce at same rannge in PP?
Unless:
- He has a down year offensively not playing with the likes of Tavares, Marner and Matthews.
- He injures his back again.
Which is still better than the zero upside that provides the Chiarot signing.

At this point, Habs fans are now as bad as the Leafs were about 10 years ago when they pumped the tires of their garbage like Jason Blake, Vesa Toskala and Nikolai Antropov and laughed at the moves the other more competitive, more serious teams made.
It's how bad the situation got under this clown. We're laughing at the other teams and spitting on guys like Gardiner and Micheal Ferland because we have Paul Byron and Brett Kulak. Pretty incredible. Stockholm syndrom.
