I don't know where to post this but is it just me or sometimes you have players height suddenly change out of nowhere. Was always too lazy to check but I swear you have guys that would be measured as 6' suddenly be 5'10 when you look much later. I was on hockeydb lurking on old prospect of ours and I don't recall a guy like Allan McShane being 5'10. But there are countless examples like this within the team and I always feel crazy

hockeydb is not reliable for height and weight

Does NHL.com have same issue? Elite Prospect has Slaf as 6'3 but there are articles from draft time referring to him as being 6'4

nhl.com is updated at the start of the year and is accurate. At the start of Slaf first season he was listed at 6’4 for the training camp roster but was listed at 6’3 afterwards including last season.

Hockeydb is bad (often non-accurate) for non AHL/NHL players.

NHL.com usually have the last height weight reported by the teams at the last camp so this is probably the most reliable place for NHL players and players participating in a NHL pre season camp. But you have to probably wait a few weeks/months for the update after the first camp a players is in.

hockeydb is funny at time. Rasmus Bergqvist reported height on hockeydb was i think 5'9 just before the u20 and i was like why in hell did we draft a defensive minded 5'9 guy. He's in fact 6'2 ...
