Yeah, Ottawa leading Utah 3-1 with like 2 minutes left. Sens are going to win & move into #3 spot in Atlantic.

Boston falls to WC1. TB to WC2. CBJ to 9th & out.

We're 3 points back of Bruins, but with 2 games in hand (still have to win those). We're also 3 points back of Ottawa, but with only one game in hand.

We're only 2 pts back of TB, but they have a game in hand.

I don’t think we’re catching Ottawa this season. They are a good team.

Boston, NYR, CBJ and Tampa.. those are who I think we’re battling with.

Rantanen is now saying to the Finish press that he was ready to take a pay-cut to stay in Colorado. I guess he forgot to tell his agent...or his agent screwed him by trying to play hardball.
Someone tell him we will give him the same home discount and guarantee he can play with Suzuki and Demidov.

Or more likely Colorado only wanted to keep him for less or equal money to MacKinnon, and since that was never going to happen with the rising cap they preferred to trade him out instead of becoming the Maple Leafs of the west. Look at the Avs forward lines, their third best forward was Lehkonen or even Drouin lol, they just have no depth thanks to Landeskog and Nichuskin. It's a great trade for both teams even if in the long run I might prefer Colorado here

watching the hawks last night; yikes, they bounced back in the 3rd but had 4 f***ing shots though two periods.
That rebuild looks like a disaster. Who are their forward prospects? Nazar and
Dach?
Maybe they move rinzel for instance, for a young forward?
I like Bedard, but my hot take is that his ceiling might be Patrick Kane. I know he's young and has a great shot, but he looks small and is not an explosive skater.

They have cap space this summer, so do they now overpay UFA's and not waste Bedard's early years?
Doesn't that screw their rebuild? The way they're projecting, they won't be competitive until Bedard is at least 25

HAWKS are a bad team.
Bedard is going to rot there

Reichel, Nazar, Moore, Vanacher and Boisvert. Nothing that screams bona fide 1st line material.

Bedard's next contract very might well force the trajectory of their rebuild. Say Bedard goes the Matthews route and refuses to sign a 6+ years extension, that puts on big pressure on the team to build around him in a short amount of time. Maybe they'll go big game hunting on Rantanen, Marner or Pettersson...

We should have beat them too...

Just Sayin'
I read on here that trash talking is fun though. Laine disses CBJ, Xhekaj flaunts the scoreboard, and somehow we end up on the wrong side of both games. Absolute comedy gold. Let’s see if we’re in for more 'fun' moving forward or if the team decides to save the chirps for when they actually finish the job.
