Out of Town Thread - New Year’s 2025 Edition

Don't get it from Chicago's perspective. You spend a retention slot and Hall for a 3rd round pick?

I still firmly believe we should listen to offers for our UFA players. It could get wild.
It was explained by Freiman that Chicago gets a third and saves about half a mil doing this.

But yeah, I think they could’ve waited and got more.

I did not realize Hall's contract was that bad. Not sure even with 50% retained they could have done much better than a 3rd. I mean offensively he is a 3rd line player now and he doesn't have the attributes of a good 3rd line player. There will be better option than him at the deadline to spend a 2nd on. I mean i'd go with Armia retained over Hall if i need depth help and i was up to the cap. I mean they save a bit of money and get a 3rd looking at Hall's contract i understand the move. I thought his contract was like 1 year 4ish millions

Yeah, Ottawa leading Utah 3-1 with like 2 minutes left. Sens are going to win & move into #3 spot in Atlantic.

Boston falls to WC1. TB to WC2. CBJ to 9th & out.

We're 3 points back of Bruins, but with 2 games in hand (still have to win those). We're also 3 points back of Ottawa, but with only one game in hand.

We're only 2 pts back of TB, but they have a game in hand.

Final score: Ottawa Senators (3-1) Utah Club

Final score: Colorado Avalanche (5-4) New York Rangers

Even I couldn't think of something more sadistic.

Though truth be told, I'd be way more upset that my kid was playing for the Laffs.

Hope both are ok, especially the kid.
