Terrible post.

Tell me you're a casual without telling me you're a casual. A lot of the posts are highlighting Senators' difficulty to play consistent hockey and our inept offense which is last in the league since November 1st (3 months now).

All of which is entirely justified. Our goalies have been lights out and it is unsustainable (outside of Ullmark).

We were literally just shutout 5 times in last 11 games or something, lol.
They are playing consistent hockey, they are playing playoff hockey where there is little scoring, in fact scoring is down across the board this yr. The offence is not inept, they have had plenty of chances & have dominated on the shots on net in some games. There are games that take them a while to get into due to back to backs which they have had many & then there are all the injuries. Every team & every player goes through bouts during the season where they have scoring slumps it has happened in every sport every yr with almost every team at some point. Any team can win in the NHL on any given night, there may not be exact parity but it is very close especially in the Atlantic Division.

When a starter is injured he is replaced on the roster with a lesser player therefore diminishing the team & the offence a little with each player. Our goalies have been good & it's the biggest improvement on this team & about time it has happened. Other teams have had good goaltending for yrs while our goaltending has sucked since Anderson. We were shutout out 5 times & have had 7 shutouts of our own most in quite some time. They are now in 3rd place in the division fighting through all these difficulties that they have had. The glass is 3/4 full with this team this yr, they are vastly improved especially defensively which they needed more than offence & reduce their goals against. They have plenty of skilled players who can score but playing great defensively is how they will win in the playoffs.

2 beautiful back to back win! Despite 2 losing skids we are still in a strong playoff position which is refreshing to watch, and all despite of some so called star players on this Team

If you criticize this team it's because you're a BAD FAN. I mean, for all that happened during the last 8 seasons, it would be crazy to criticize them, they should be immune to it!

What you have to do is bury your head in the sand and wait for the team to win 2 games in a row so you can log in and gaslight all the fans that care and are here during good and BAD times.

Frankly, it's ridiculous.

But the problem is that you want the Sens to be perfect in every area! You people are never happy, you always find something to bitch and moan about. The team is in 3rd place in the division and you're still complaining

I hope we extend Matinpalo. Dude's been a stud and I feel more comfortable going into next season with him as our 3RD over Hamonic or hoping JBD bounces back after a high ankle sprain

Hamonic shouldn't even be a consideration for next year

But yes Matinpalo has been impressive and I'd like to keep him around. Exactly the type of depth player you win with.

He's still an RFA-to-be, I sure hope next year we just go with Matinpalo and JBD as our #6 and 7D, with Yak in the AHL.

Savings on letting Hamonic, Forsberg and Giroux go should go toward a top 6 forward.

Go visit some other teams' pages. Fans of every team bitch about every single thing right up until the moment they win the cup

Chuck - Norris- Bath
XXX - Stu - Perron <- improve on Giroux here
Greig - Pinto - Amadio
XXX - Ostapchuk - XXX/MacEwen <- need to re-sign or replace Cousins, Gaudette and Gregor at league minimum, or rely on current depth (Crook, Rhino, Jenik, etc.)

Should we be concerned over what Bruce said during the intermission about Andlauer wanting to have games in Quebec especially in Quebec City? This franchise has tried to bring in the francophones from across the river with very little luck over the yrs. Francophones are mostly Montreal fans & they haven't changed or very few have over the 30 yrs we have had this franchise & they influence their children to be Hab fans. I do see some Quebec license plates in the parking lots, but very few. The largest contingence of francophones to attend Sens games was when Pageau was here & he had his own song. Chabot doesn't have the same kind of draw probably because Pageau played for Gatineau

I wonder if he doesn't get his arena downtown because of inept government bureaucracy if he will consider moving to Quebec City where they already have their NHL arena.

I'd rather keep him and move Amadio if we can sign Giroux for less than $4 million max. Even a declining Giroux will produce more than the best Amadio can do (which is like a 33pt pace).

I think it is fairly obvious that this is Hamonic's last season, I expect that Matinpalo RD will be the 6th RD & split time with JBD unless they decide to trade JBD in a package to upgrade somewhere else. I also expect that Yakemchuk could be in the discussion, Matinpalo seems to have passed Guennette so I'm not sure what happens to him.

Hey it’s better to be negative, or realistic, depending on your narrative, than not understanding the game at all and thinking that being at roughly 0 goal differential, bottom 5 goals for, riding hot backup goalies is a recipe for success. Or that the Jets wouldn’t be good without elite goaltending. Frankly, it’s ridiculous.

This is not the case at all, we know we have good offensive players that are simply in a slump & will need to play out of it. Every team goes through this & every player goes through this at some point. Given that three of them scored on Sunday could be the start of breaking out.

More importantly is that the Sens have been playing very good defensively & getting great goaltending & even without the offence they have been able to get this team into a playoff spot. If & when they start to put it all together they should be that much harder to stop & hopefully push for a playoff run. The kind of defensive hockey they are playing & learning to win one goal games is extremely important to winning in the playoffs when the offence dries up & not scoring does not get them down when they know they can win one goal games.

I would say no reason to be concerned... With this emo crowd I'm sure there will be more than enough dreamt up concern to go around

I don't tend to show up at the end of games to act all high and mighty in the GDTs though so maybe you should actually participate instead of wagging your finger at us for reacting at what's actually happening on the ice.
Well this response fits your M.O. You are constantly pontificating to other posters about your hockey knowledge and now you are telling me when and how to post.
I don't pretend to know your personal circumstances, whether you live alone or in your parent's basement and have 100% of your time to yourself. But many avid fans , like myself, have obligations that take precedent over posting on a hockey board. And whether you like it or not I'll continue to post my opinions when I am able to. If that makes you unhappy then put me on ignore.

Sorry if you feel picked on as my response wasn't necessarily directed at you. But then again continual use of all caps in your posts is out of the ordinary.

I'm fairly close to the arena & could care less about a downtown arena but Andlauer seems to want it. Don't know if he has ever had to deal with Gov before, but this is going to drag on, there might not be an arena downtown for the next decade & not to mention that a change of Gov could also change some things & delay it further. Should be interesting.
