HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

They did school the team with the best record in the east and they did it with ease. I still think Florida could repeat.

Oilers are on a mission, they plowed through Vegas with ease, without McDavid having to be outerworldly..

If it's a repeat finals matchup, Oilers will have home ice this time around, so no shitty Sunrise-in-june terribad ice in game 7, where half the players fall to the ice every 30 seconds. Edmonton has one of the better ice in the league, perfect for players like McDavid. This may finally be the year McDrai lift it.

The Central Division is so strong. Jets looked great last night, Colorado and the Blues weren't far from being in this round either. The Jets pk reminded me of the Habs run in 2021. Can see the difference experience makes this round, the playoff hardened teams are moving on.

Can see why the Leafs tried to trade for Rantanen and Schenn, I'll be surprised if they stay alive tonight for a game seven after the way their tent folded the other night at home.

Lmao i love the crash out. f*** this guy. Its such a bad look when your teammates AND your coach have to tell you to chill out.
Horseshit...you want that in a player. You want to have to reel a guy in rather than having to force him to show some emotion. I'll take guys like Scheifele over sissies like Mathews and Marner all day. I have no problem having a guy hitting the readline every now and then.

No thats super cringe and Scheifele has always been super cringe. Hes a sunflower and loses focus super easily. Gallagher used to be like this too.

Theres a tipping point where too much is just as bad or even worse as not enough. This is it.

Nah, it's super cringe to not want emotion from players. Gally was and will always be a warrior. There is a tipping point but Scheifele nor Gally were nowhere near it.

How it looks is the last thing on his mind. He’s dialed in, turned up, locked on. It’s great. I’d love to see our players be this into it when it is called for.

This is a better criticism imo

I don’t watch enough non Habs hockey to confirm your opinion but for instance Lucic let his moron streak get the better of him. I don’t think MS is like that. He just seems super into hockey.

Dude definitely has deeply rooted anger issues. But what a player.
His cracked out steroid eyes after Evans hit are seared into my brain.

Florida has to play a similar game, and the Leafs will fold. It felt like that game was over for Toronto before it was 1-0 for Florida. Honestly, though, their body language screamed defeat, and that's exactly how it played out.

What has taken place there would never fly in Montreal. Matthews and Marner would have been long gone because both are frauds. They continuously go to the microphone and spew the same rhetoric, but when it's game time, they do nothing but underachieve.

It's funny on one hand to see them fail, but it's disgusting to know how much they command salary-wise and are completely without heart when it matters.

Well well well, finally got through the first round and what can you say, some really good games and no upsets, but this is the Montreal zone so in keeping with that............As the mrs said the other night, that was quick! Look at the bright side, they made the playoffs and had one really fun win, better luck next time. Maybe in the future if they want to win more and go deeper, improve the team a bit there, whata say,not that complicated.
