HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

Carolina exposing Washington as expected. Size is not everything, you need talent. Hopefully people can now calm down a bit with the whole size thing. You don't go draft a player just because of size.
We'll see how they react when they get slapped around if they play Florida.

Who would have thought that 7th rounder Morgan Barron would end up being a better player than 1st rounder Justin Barron...
I wanted to trade for Morgan last summer where he was Justin's brother. Thought it would help Justin. I would have fluked that one as he broke out for 27 goals.

Finding a center ready to break out is what we should be looking for. Ryan MacLeod another example last year also.

f*** Capitals! Very deserving loss. They weren't even close.
which proves how far inexperienced coaching will take you in the playoffs, thanks JG/KH...but no worries, Smarty"s still learning to be a coach for the most storied franchise and the fans can keep hoping we might win two games next year in the playoffs,Geez ,it"s only been 30+ years....these things take time :deadhorse

I wish Monty would have been healthy, the series would have gone longer than 5 games.

Agreed. Dobes did the best he could and while I don’t think he cost us the series, he let in some pretty bad goals, or at the very least, untimely.

Still, I think it was that Wilson hit that ended it for us. Plus, our defence and 5v5 wasn’t strong. Carolina is a seasoned and structured team. I feel they were like us in that they had a some big players but they don’t have a bunch of bruisers. But thise fckers just grind and suffocate you and they clearly were not intimidated at all by Washington.

Plus, I wonder if they were facing Lindgren wearing a Thompson jersey, lol.

The same was said about Washington before the Canes-Caps series.

Florida still has to get by the Leafs. They lose tonight at home and anything can happen in Game 7.

Curious what the Capitals will do this off season, will Ovechkin hang em up or go for another kick at the can.

He's got one more year to float around and then he's gone back to Russia.

Caps probably miss the playoffs if they run it back.

That team is nowhere near as good as they finished.

PLD is back to being completely useless again.

I wonder if he asks out this summer, or next.

Is that what he said as I haven't heard that.

Structured is the key word here. Something that St Louis doesn't have an idea of.
