This was an awful display by pretty much all the Oilers on the ice on that goal but Skinner was the worst.

Someone needs to teach them Einstein definition of insanity.
Teams like Tampa win cause they overpay for their missing pieces . Edm rolls with ahl level goaltending while having games most elite talent at center. And don’t try to correct it. Hell they don’t even take a gamble on cheapish goalie . So maybe they could catch a lightning in a bottle .

He manages to make a few big saves then every goal against there is something either in his technique, his read, his positioning or just out right whiffing on a shot that just leaves you shaking your head.

and its been this way for like 4 yrs and every Oil GM keeps going “Stus the man” yet every playoffs he is pulled half a dozen times in 20 ish playoff gamez

Big summer for them... The way they screwed up with Holloway, Mcleod & Broberg has left them without any U25 talent to improve internally, and Drai/McD raises will make paying Bouchard or adding upgrades via UFA almost impossible.

With no draft or prospect capital, their trade upgrade options are also minimal.

They need to hope some foolish GM is willing to trade a ransom for Bouchard, that's about their only card left to play.

McDavid will have a really interesting decision to make in the coming months
