HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

I'm not trying to be a hater but this series was touted to be the best going into the playoffs and it's probably bottom 3 even if two went to OT

The last 3 games have all gone to OT. The first game was a T.O blow-out, but after that the next 3 games were incredibly close and went to OT. Toronto won 2 games in OT.

However, I agree. It's been mostly a snoozefest in comparison to other series.

Probably the best captain in the league. He's a true warrior.

Avs have a ton of players I'd take in an instant, MacKinnon, Nichushkin, Landeskog, Lehkonen, Necas, Nelson, Makar, they're just stacked.

Some of them are landmines though, stay away from Sakic.

Considering all the hype of a physical, competitive and emotion filled Battle of Ontario, that series has really been a let down. Unless Ottawa comes back or forces game 7, it's gonna be one of the more forgettable series from the 1st round in terms of entertainment

Honestly I am a homer but I don't think any captain has inspired their team as much as Nick Suzuki. Dude carried us into the playoffs this year and told the GM to hold his hand instead of deal it. That takes balls and leadership.

Avs have been perfectly fine with Mack being the honorary captain for two years. Landy is definitely an inspirational player though. Takes a lot to come back from the surgery that is famously known for ending NBA careers. But basketball players aren't hockey tough.

I don't think Nick deserves a mark messier leadership award though, he's not dirty enough.
