What is Seattle doing ?They fired Hakstol last summer...
Must be owner getting involved. Apparently Francis didn't want Bylsma last year

I wonder how much more rope the Wings will give Yzerman to turn it around and make the Wings a playoff team again.
But don’t say that in the main board thread, you’ll get the Yzerman devotees at your throat. You know, “more patience needed”…Lol....
Contrast that with the culture Hughes' rebuild has set.
Suzuki & leadership group goes on a tear after GM "rewards" then by not trading away assets...
RedWings leadership instead blames GM for not adding help to "give us a spark on the ice".
That right there reflects the difference between a burgeoning culture of excellence and a rebuild that has failed to get the culture pieces right.
It’s pretty tough to say if an nhl exec is good/bad or lucky/unlucky. I gave MB a lot of chances but it’s clear in retrospect that he stunk. Yzerman built Wings teams that were expected to be good and get better, but they haven’t done either. Is it bad luck or bad projections? If the Wings fans are to be believed, he still has decent amount of rope... You should go read their board and the Downfall thread on the main boards, I can't figure if it's copium induced delirium or Stevie Y is truly a mastermind.
But we won the lottery to get Kotkaniemi who isn't on the current team and Slaf, who is objectively worse than Seider, Raymond, and probably even Edvinsson. Also our finals run didn't count and apparently we've been rebuilding since 2016 according to their fans. But don’t say that in the main board thread, you’ll get the Yzerman devotees at your throat. Lottery losses are the only thing that screwed them. Imagine if they had Lafreniere over Raymond? Or Power over Edvinsson? Even Hughes over Seider isn't some huge upgrade, but they picked 6th so far more likely is they move up to get Kakko. Plus they moved back two spots in 2019, obviously having Kotkaniemi and Hayton (sens were always taking brady) as choices would have made them pass on Zadina.
Don't you dare say they could have taken Quinn Hughes or taken literally anyone over Rasmussen the year prior, like say a Nick Suzuki. Don't you dare say they had 6 second round picks from 2019-2020 and got 0 serviceable NHLers. Not like there were top pairing D or top 6 forwards available like LaCombe, Protas, Dorofeeveferefevv, Peterka, Faber, Cuylle, Nikishin, etc. Or that they took Cossa first round over Wyatt Johnson. Dallas picked before them all the time right? They had four picks in 2019 and got Harley; that should be considered cheating.
So you see, Detroit was screwed. Yzerman is a saint. Also pls ignore 2018 draft where they had two firsts and two seconds and walked away with just Berggren.
Also u know it's impossible hronek or walman could be good in detroit. They only good in place on pacific ocean. JEff petry much better investment so it makes sense to pay San Jose a second to take Walman.

Not to mention the fact that Colorado had the all-time worst regular season and dropped to 4th. Instead of taking the Zadina in Middlestats they took Cale Makar, ranked 9th for NA players.View attachment 1019323
Legit laughed. I know man, I’ve been shaking my head at the delusion of that part of their fanbase, but the wacko assessments of other team’s rebuilds is a work of fantasy.
I have no idea why they give their total confidence at that work because it’s a collision course with total averageness. There’s nothing more coming up that will push it to a wagon. ASP will be good but there’s a lot more needed there and they are getting older fast.
Botterill even as his own song from back when he was the Sabres GM.
Although it might not actually work out in his favor if the Kraken owners listen to the song first.
