But... once you get into da playoffs anything can happen...Winnipeg was never going to win the Stanley Cup, so we weren't getting it anyway.

We can pretty much say at very least it's 25th. No way Florida doesn't do the conference finals.
With no offense or they would run up the score on Canucks mediocre goaltending.Preds are a gritty team. They have just found a way to shut down Vancouver. Its not pretty but effective
Either the Rangers or Carolina finish ahead of the Jets because Carolina had more points than them. No, #24. But all of Vancouver, Dallas, Florida & NYR need to be eliminated before final four for that to happen.
You think it's guarantee they can beat Boston?Yeah, Florida is definitely getting there, so it's going no higher than 25th.
25, 26 or 27.
True. But those are the sacrifices a GM makes when he's serious about 'win-now'. Hopefully, Hughes will be in that position in two/three years and will have the balls to do whatever's necessary to turn our team into a real contender.Damn Winnipeg gave up a first round pick for a first round exit...thats gotta sting
He totally is. He changed all 4 games Jets lost.

The Scheifele and Hellebuyck extensions are going to age terribly. 17 million locked up for 7 years between two guys that'll be 31 at the start of next season.Oh snap! And his 8.5m aav deal kicks in next year.
Just another team locking their aging core for way too long. GMs are more interested in saving their hide short terms than planning long term and few players have any interest in signing short terms contracts anymore. This is the result. The Scheifele and Hellebuyck extensions are going to age terribly. 17 million locked up for 7 years between two guys that'll be 31 at the start of next season.
To be fair to him, he had the Knights and Avs back to back. Brutal teams to have to face.Oh snap! And his 8.5m aav deal kicks in next year.
It's OK the Peg can always attract UFAs to make up for it. Like Vlad Namestnikov
Jets franchise had bad luck. Never won, lost a franchise now this one in turmoil
Hellebyuck is likely going to win his second Vezina this year and has been a rock for them for 7 years now. He had a bad postseason but he’ll be alright granted he doesn’t have a rapid decline in his 30’s. He seems healthy. Bobrovsky was known as a prolific playoff choker for years and managed to shake that label late in his career. I don’t think Winnipeg was anywhere near as good as their regular season record would indicate. The Scheifele and Hellebuyck extensions are going to age terribly. 17 million locked up for 7 years between two guys that'll be 31 at the start of next season.
Pls let me know how that 1-hr dissertation on TSN & SN of how this will be the greatest all time comeback sports achievement…end upAll toronto media are back on leafs bandwagon…0
