This is absolutely blowing up in Vancouver right now by the way.
Looks like Pettersson is available
Allvin went on blast basically, Not sure what you guys would offer, or how seriously you would be interested, He would obviously need a Haul.
But, just thought I would share and get your guys opinions!
Not everyday a 90+ Center with great Defensive abilities becomes available.

Thoughts?

Great player, but seriously expensive now. You guys should absolutely trade for a young D if you go through with this. Hughes & Honrok are your only 2 D on the big club that can actually move the puck & both are injured.

I can't see Montreal moving any D currently on our roster, except for 7th D Struble & maybe Matheson, who frankly, would be a serious upgrade on any one of your D except for Hughes & Hronek obviously.

I can definitely see him being traded East, though.

Buffalo probably have the best assets, especially if they draft top 5 again. They could draft Schaefer and move Byram. Plus a young center like Kulich or Huselius. Whether or not, they want to go in that direction.... But, they should do it. They'd improve immediately.

The other issue is Pettersson's apparent moodiness. Our team is really tight, and they're working off that chemistry right now. This is definitely an off-season thing.

Yeah, off-season = draft. If Buffalo drafts Schaefer I can see Byram or Power moving on. It depends on how things fall out this year. If Montreal decides to move on from Dach, and say have picks #12 & #16, I think we have the assets to do it, but I think that's best left for draft hype.

I don't think Pettersson is a 90 pt center. He's probably more Suzuki; however like Suzuki, he's actually very good defensively. He's in our age group range, too.

He's really expensive, though.

I need this in my basement. No idea why I'm procrastinating it.
It’s great.

We did it when we built the basement from scratch. Our kids were little and I wanted it to be a big playroom. Easiest thing was to get a retractable screen.

The projector is actually in a closet in another room with a hole punched through the wall for it to beam through. Nothing for the kids to mess with.

Got any suggestions for the projector you got and things you wish you had known before. Pretty much copy paste situation here

I got this a while ago. At the time it was top of the line. I decided to pay more because it was an open room and I wanted the projection brightness.

One issue I had was heat. Because it’s in a closet there was always a risk of overheating because those projectors can get quite hot. The room behind it is a home office so I just leave the closet door open so the heat can escape.

I’m not going to replace the bulb on this. When it goes, I’m getting a new projector as the bulbs are pricey. My next one will be a laser.

No maintenance, no replacements, less heat, better picture…. But more upfront cost. I haven’t started investigating yet but I don’t think I’d get a top of line this time because it’s expensive and with laser you probably don’t need it because the brightness is better anyway.

Of our core players, the one that could work is Guhle. Maybe having him as the center piece of a trade for EP? But Guhle is so valuable, it would hurt bad to trade him.

I've got a PX748-4K that puts out a 120 inch image that I like quite a bit. There's probably better models for the price out now though, as I got it about 2 years ago. If you're shopping for a projector,, take special care of the specs on projection distance to get one that really fits your space. A lot of people depend on the zoom/keystone options which are less than ideal for long term use.

I also see @Lafleurs Guy's mini fridge and raise him a marshall mini fridge :naughty:

Any suggestions for projector/screen ? I have an 85inch in the basement, but I want to move it to the living room.

That's so cool. I don't think it would fit in that spot though.

And my wife would never go for that.

Honestly, I'm the wrong guy to ask. I got my stuff ten years ago and I used an audio video guy when I built the basement. I'd help you if I was more knowledgeable but I'm sure some folks here can help.

Rangers have put Shesterkin on IR, they were not at max roster size, so they didn't even need to do it. Rangers fans have already polished their tanks and talking about getting the 1st oa.

And I guess the Roy's move in his last game was another towel throwing move.

So both NY teams are on reverse mode to finish the season.

If Dobson were available, he’d be a guy I’d target. The salary worries me though. What’s he going to want? We have guys we’re going to need to sign in the coming years to some bigger deals. The cap is going to become an issue at some point.

Time for Bettman to dust off that magnetic lottery ball again, perhaps?
