Gotta have that Lad on my team.
Love it McAvoy is nasty dirty himself...
can we get him too?
This is exactly what is going on.He does actually look impressive this year when I’ve watched. Confident, stronger, a little faster, more economical in his movement which is obviously so important for a guy of his age and style.
Yup this and playing the last 10 games or of the season or so when teams have clinched.Or they could be making Tampa more fat and happy during the holiday season.
I feel like this time of the year comes with the most randomness.... add in the fact it's another matinee too which can throw things off too.
Washington is just such a well run organization. You get the feeling they've been coached by the same guy for 20 years. Even if their style is more direct and conservative now.Chychrun playing like how he did with the Yotes. I absolutely loved the player in Arizona but he was a worse Matheson with the Sens. Awesome year for him now.
While holding down 26th in the league...Who would have thought and bet that after 35 games especially the way the season started that we would be tied in points with the Rangers!!
Broke a leg back 6 weeks later with his locomotiv gear unbelievable
Nerver change OV

According to Article 16.5 (b) of the NHL's collective bargaining agreement, "December 24, Christmas Day and December 26 shall be off-days for all purposes, including travel, and no Club may request a Player's consent to practice on such days for any reason."
Stars head coach Pete DeBoer told reporters on Friday morning that he was "at the rink yesterday. We had an optional, and of course the young guys all show up for the optional like, you know, they're supposed to do."
Michkov 0 pts and -11 in the last 7 games.
lmao why is Deboer flexing power abuse?

There has to be something more to this than an ultra talented player being this bad for 7 straight games.Michkov 0 pts and -11 in the last 7 games.
Yeah… he’s a cherry picker and only knows how to play in 1-of-3 zones or as his coach so eloquently put it a couple of yrs back “doesn’t understand the game of hockey”There has to be something more to this than an ultra talented player being this bad for 7 straight games.
big team. They've become what the Bruins were for several years. Several big, skill guys in the top 6 with solid D and goaltending. They just grind. Cycle and puck to the point for screens and greasy reboundsWashington is just such a well run organization. You get the feeling they've been coached by the same guy for 20 years. Even if their style is more direct and conservative now.
There is a difference between an ultra-talented player and a great player. HuGo knew the difference, most fans do not. There has to be something more to this than an ultra talented player being this bad for 7 straight games.

More importantly they draft well. Without good drafting it would not work. Leonard in 2023 and Cole Hutson in 2024.Washington is just such a well run organization. You get the feeling they've been coached by the same guy for 20 years. Even if their style is more direct and conservative now.
is that why it's been so quiet around here?Michkov 0 pts and -11 in the last 7 games.
Leonard was an easy choice at their pick in the draftMore importantly they draft well. Without good drafting it would not work. Leonard in 2023 and Cole Hutson in 2024.
