How is that leafs just keep winning? Are they for real with Berube this season? Or is it because Matthews is not in the lineup?
Matthew was in the line-up last night, and they beat up the Sabres (it was their 12th consecutive loss).

And the Leafs will always managed to win more than they lose, but they haven't won more than 4 games in a row so far this season and two of the games went to OT.

Not liking this...

You sayin' like it's a bad thing.

The new coach bump is usually a good thing in the context of immediate wins and losses and you can see some berube DNA infiltrating the club with the way they play.

But at the end of the day, it's not really news because the regular season has never really been an issue for this core group. The needle moves if they have significant playoff success, so it's a wait and see situation.

Montreal
Watching Nashville take on the Kings at home and they are far far better than their record shows.
I'll be very surprised if we finish ahead of them.

Man, Nichushkin may be a drug addled, prostitute-seeking boozer, but he sure can score in a beastly manner. He's already at 10 goals on the season.

Man, thats pretty candid stuff for a Canadian market.

Grier did really good getting him. Would have been a good gamble here, he's crazy talented.
Habs would probably have outbid SJ if they didn't already have Fowler. Fowler, Dobes, Askarov, Monty would be great but what do you do with the 2 you don't want. Difficult to get good value for goaltenders.

Leafs 3rd in 4 nights no Matthews tonight. Islanders were up 2-0 in the first couple of minutes set the tone. Several guys on NYI impressed me: Dobson, Romanov, Horvat and Tsyplakov. Don't believe there were any penalties in the game, the zebras Christmas gift!
