My take on Bedard’s “slump”. Some bad luck. Loss of confidence, he’s passing when he usually shoots. Plus less time and space. Ds are giving him none when he’s crossing the blue line off the rush so he can’t get his high slot shot he scored a bunch with in Junior.

Nah... It must be because he's a bust that doesn't care or try hard, otherwise he'd only be improving year over year.

Awfully quiet with the Michkov crowd last 4GP: 0pts & -8
Don't worry, as soon as he scores his next goal we'll be flooded with reminders of how terrible Reinbacher is and what an idiot Hughes is....

Rookies often hit a wall and start overthinking to get out of it. Once he gets back his mojo it should be smooth sailing again. If he doesn’t get his mojo back I’m afraid eventually there will be a conflict with Torts.

32 thoughts around the 28 minute mark of the most recent 32 thoughts Friedman brings up yet again how Michkov played it so he'd end up in Philadelphia.

So, hopefully people stop crying as it was never in the cards

Can't get away from michkov talk no matter if he's streaking or slumping.
Michkov will be a star. There are highs and lows especially for rookies. It’s a testament to how good his season has been that it’s being noticed that his pointless in four.

That was an interesting little segment. Neat how they spoke so highly of Demidov as well.

I haven’t seen anything of Demidov this year but it was really interesting watching some clips of him last year. He looked to me a lot like Lane Hutson. Very similar stylistically and that’s really weird because Hutson’s a pretty unique player in how his plays the game.

Yeah, especially when it isn't Friedman with his opinion, but what he was told and it's likely not just coming from the habs

The problem is not about mentioning Mickov and a slump or a fantastic goal in this thread, it's about turning it again and again and avain about how bad a mistake it was yadda yadda yadda. There is a thread for that now.

The funny thing about all that is it doesn't even f***ing matter if he's streaking or slumping. In fact what he does this year in the grand scheme of things does not matter. I've seen so many kids come into the league and tear it down for a year or two just to slowly become almost irrelevant (Joe Juneau, Jimmy Carson, Paul Statsny, Jarret Stoll, ..). I've seen so many kids struggling for 3-4 years and then boom dominant for couple of years (Naslund, Bertuzzi, ...). Like i always say better to wait 23 years old / 200+ games before concluding anything about a young player.

Often the result of being sheltered with a lot of offensive opportunities in their early seasons. After that it's sink or swim and many just sink.

Can I vent on the extreme Michkov crowd (not all)? It bugs me that any take that’s not that the team is doomed having not picked Michkov is whitewashing management… Everything’s not black and white.

I hope it isn’t true that Kent Hughes super GM got bullied by a 18 year old 😭 😭 or had his lunch ate by friggin Danny Brière 😭 😭

I hope they picked Reinbacher because he was the best possible prospect for the Habs in their eyes

Again, why and how did Michkov rule out Montreal?

Was he going to be the first player since Lindros to refuse to report?

If the Habs couldn't convince a young Russian superstar to at least consider the possibility of playing in Montreal then they failed at their jobs

I said all along Michkov is a pos and a cockroach.
This kind of unhealthy posting is what gets you a therapy session with @WeThreeKings
