Not fine, filled with vomit marketing and marketers. That station needs some serious restructuring, like all the media syndicates.
I don't really care about that stuff, as long as the people working on the Habs stuff are competent. Which they are. Even Benoit Brunet is now a seriously decent analyst.

I don't watch anything else they do. I know the 5 à 7 is kinda cringe.

Then they would survive the mother-ship going down?

Not sure I understand your question.
Bell-Media isn't RDS directly afaik, so if they go down, RDS survives by getting new investors or selling their assets to new owners, and the hockey crew on RDS likely survives.

Kaako would look good w Dach & Laine - he’s the type of defensively sound puck retriever that would complement their games
Kakko would look good without Dach also.

My understanding is that RDS is owned by Bell Media but they werent always, so maybe you're right.

I always laugh when I hear folks ragging on Dach, Newhook, but then are starry eyed on Kakko. He's having the same consistency issues and is the exact same type of gamble you aren't patient for with the players the habs have.
Yeah just another okay how is this supposed to fit going forward.
Maybe if we flipped one trouble for another but even then Kakko doesn't seem to have the grit we sorely lack.

Coco would be -15 if he did not get sheltered minutes but he's too dumb to figure that out so he whines to the media.

Probably because nobody is advocating to give up 13th OA+mid round picks, or a 1st and very early 2nd for him.

Don’t think anyone would complain about Kakko if he could be had for cheap unlike Newhook and Dach.

Well Kakko is in his 6th nhl season where Dach and Newhook were traded after their 3rd nhl seasons (though Newhook played 6 games in one of them, and Dach played 18 in another). It's not really apples and apples here.

And people would be pissed off if we paid that price for Kakko after his 3rd NHL season and he didn’t work out.

Don’t really get your point as the price paid at the time of the trade is a massive factor that you are ignoring.

I never spoke about the trade costs. I'm talking about the patience people are willing to afford to projects not on this team compared to the ones on this team.

Youre the one shifting the discussion to value.

That's my entire point. Trade cost 100% needs to be taken into account. To ignore it would be incredibly disingenuous. Now, if someone advocates trading a 1st and a 2nd for Kakko, you'd have a very valid point, but I do not see that.

So you think paying 13th OA+picks compared to a mid to late 2nd rounder should generate the same expectation for the respective player from the fan base?

I'm not shifting any discussion, I'm including the important topic of value which you failed to mention in your original post.

It's crazy that despite the peewee defensive play by the dman my main reaction after this goal was "what a f***ing weak goal by the goalie". That's how weak that goal was. Was that Ekholm? Man he has gotten sloooowwwwww.

Kakko is a worse gamble as he is older. Dach was only 21 i mean he was a gamble like any prospects but he was not labelled a bust yet and not even close. Newhook was a bit closer to bust status but still one year younger than Kakko is atm. Kakko is almost 24 he's getting close to Chad Kilger status the price would need to be lower than NYR wound want.
