Calgary winning is not perfect. At some point they need to start losing some games, otherwise we will pick 20th

And the later they start losing games the better.

If they started the season horribly they would now have incentives to sell and tank to start the rebuild. But instead now we're having rumors of them shopping for a center. If comes trade deadline they are in position to fight for a playoff spot, or like some would call it IN DA MIX, they most likely hang on to Andersson/Weegar/Backlund/Kadri/Pospisil/Kuzmenko,etc...

Nashville should not be last in the league, they are not that bad. Definitely not a playoff team, but not nearly as bad as they are. Makes me laugh to read posts criticizing their moves as it was not long ago we had hundreds of posters here praying for Huberdeau, Dubois, Stamkos, etc. Thankfully our mgmt team seems determined to build through the draft.

Back in 3 weeks, just watch and see. Despite being a super star goal scorer, he is one the toughest players in the game. To play the style he has for so long it is a testament to just how rugged of an SOB he is.
wager? I say at least 5 weeks. This is not some light kid, this is a 230 pound behemoth. He has a lot of extra weight than a normal person. If he comes back to soon, he risks re-injuring it.

I would never bet against Ovie, he is having a great season and is gunning for the record. It's sad that he got hurt and has to sit out. He has been one of my favs for a very long time. I will send good vibes and expect to see him back in a month or less.

I called them being overrated. Anyone that watched Stamkos last year should have noticed the same thing the Lightning did - he’s just a PP leech at this point. Moving on from him was the right choice. Both him and Marchessault are older and have nothing to prove anymore, it’s all about collecting a likely final big paycheque.

They have an old and awful defence. Brady Skjei was never good enough to fix that.

It’s all on Saros to try and make them semi-competitive, yet again.
I don't disagree, but I don't think anyone had them being the worst team in the league. Stamkos and Marchessault should still be 2nd liners. The main regression is likely due to swapping McDonagh for Skjei.

could be wrist. but what can Germany do that North America cant?

Rumor is he went to Germany for platelet-rich plasma therapy. You can get it in the States, but it's prepared differently in Germany and is considered a better therapy. He must be having chronic pain in his wrist.

Of course, it's also famous as a hair treatment procedure, so if Matthews comes back like this:

...we'll know.

No I definitely didn’t think they’d be this bad. I also don’t think they will stay this bad all season. But some people were thinking they’d make noise in the playoffs this year because of the moves. It took a historic 2nd half for them even to squeak in. They are a bubble team and I don’t think anything has changed.
