Ovechkin might just break Gretzky goals record this season. He is 31 goals away.
Who had Ovechkin being in good enough shape to play this way when he looked like this in the offseason

He took the best Hollywood diet advice from lifetime nattys Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsfield and Alan Richtson of "lots of rice and brocoli". Secret to the fountain of youth. That'll be 5$ a week for the rest of your lives please.

Matthews isn't ever going to catch ovi or even finish third in goals. Guy just isn't consistent he's already getting to the age where his peak is done. He's struggling with the new coach not letting everyone pass the puck only to him to boost his numbers.

Toronto going through their boudreau era caps where they're learning you can't win by feeding one dude the puck in the playoffs.

Weirdly enough, Wayne wasn't in that much better of a shape for most of his career, close to zero muscle on him. Howe was just plain farmer strong and wasn't a gym rat either, to say nothing of Brett Hull. Maybe the secret to goal scoring is to stay just north of out of shape for your entire career :P

Apparently his dad died last year and he was checked out for much of the season. I'd guess he took prep more seriously this year.

Chicago are looking pretty dumb to dump Dach and strome for a better chance at bedard who doesn't even look like more than a regular 1c.

You know, is that the best we can do for nicknames? Nostrils? You ever hear the nicknames Australians come up with? Or heck, letterkenny? We can do better than nostrils.

I offer Waluigi to honour the nose and creepy stache they both sport.

Honorable mention goes to Groucho.

If they didn't basically switch positions in a fraction of a second Nurse still gets cranked, but it isn't as bad for him.

As everyone knows hockey is a super fast game and those stills are a split second. They basically switch stances at the same time.

Reaves f***ing sucks as a player, but aside from not going for a hit, there's nothing he can do. And if he's not going for a hit, he's doing f***all for the Leafs.
There was nothing fast in this play though. If you stop the video like 2 seconds before impact you can clearly see that Reaves clearly has Nurse in his field of view and that Nurse still did not have full control of the puck. Nurse struggling to take control of the puck is something Reaves had to take into account.

He's the captain now, he can't hide anymore...

Nostrils is a lot easier to fit into casual conversation than Bieber's Baby Oil Buddy.

Sam Dickinson has 30 points in 17 games. He would have been my guy if Demidov hadn't been available to us. Still can't believe he fell to 11, that's a Dobson-esque fall. Hopefully we get that kind of player with the Flames pick.
And the flames took Mailloux, ugh I mean Yakemchuk 6th. Lmaoooo

The takes on this board are awful regarding Michkov, he's having an awesome year with only one more worthwhile player offensively on that team. Is he perfect? No. But you're just flat-out lying if you don't think he's having an excellent rookie season.

He's horrible defensively and doesn't speak English! Hah! We win in the end.

I love the whole Hages father/Michkovs father narrative too.

Saw someone say “he’s been scratched so clearly he’s struggling”. Made me smile. Habs fans will never change.

There are a few good offensive players on the Flyers. Konecny, Frost, Farabee, Tippett who thanks to the imbecile Torts don't get to shine.

He is in one part of his game but not offensively.

If you want to avoid injuries you need to have a bit of padding ;)
