Monday Night Hockey on Amazon Prime is the only way to watch the NHL. Everything else feels like watching at 480p resolution on a tube television.
Bro color me surprised that the streaming platform of the NHL is so crap still. It's 2024 and the highest res is 720p. That's ridiculous. Record profits year on year and yet streaming like its 2005??? Absurd.

I know this kind of thing tends to get scoffed at but to don't "suddenly" find the fountain of youth at 39. Me thinks it's not impossible some magic beans are involved. Probably say something like my doctor put me on TRT...
He had a shooting percentage below ten last year. By far the worst of his career. Right now it’s sky high at 20. The Gods giveth and the taketh away.

It's pretty unlikely more than 10% of the league aren't using some sort of doctor prescribed help. Professional sports are about skirting around the rules, not playing clean.

It's crazy Toffoli puts up the numbers he does because his play looks awful lol

(Not saying he IS awful, he's great, he just has an ugly/awkward style of hockey)

Hockey IQ. Being at the right place at the right time is worth a lot more than skating fast in circle. Joshua Roy is the same kind of player. You look at him and you say he's not good but then he piles up the points.

I think the death of his father had a big impact on his play at the end of the 2022-2023 season and the beginning of the 2023-24 season. When my father died i went into a depression that lasted for a while.

Before his father died on februarey 10th 2023 he had 32 goals and 54 points in 52 games (pace of 50 goals and 85 points). He finished that 2022-23 season with 42 goals and 75 points in 72 games.

Last year he started the season with only 8 goals 28 points in his first 41 games (pace of 16 goals and 56 points). But then he finished the season with 23 goals and 37 points in his last 38 games (pace of 49 goals and 80 points).

So in the half a season before the death of his father he was pacing for 50 goals and 80 points. Then he want into a slump that lasted couple of months. Then in the half a season after that slump he was pacing for 50 goals and 80 points again.

Why the tank thing is so offensive to some people ?

It can be considered trolling and makes it difficult to decipher Habs fans from say a Leaf or Bruins fans who just wants to stir shit up. Not everyone is identifiable through their user name. Keeping it to one thread helps with this.

Basically, you're cheering against Montreal.
