Yeah, they're a deep team, but they don't have the horses for the playoffs. Also, Helleybuck becomes Helleypuke in the playoffs. He's been mostly terrible for them.
I feel like Hellebuyck has a SC run in him. He’s one of the best goalies of his generation. It took a goalie like Bobrovsky years to figure it out in the playoffs as well. Winnipeg has a really strong system. They’ll be tough to stop in a playoff series if they play the way they have to start the season.

This could've been said about Carey Price and the Habs at any point, as much as us inside the Montreal Bubble would bristle and disagree with it.

Helleybuck is as good as can be expected. The rest... is the hands of the gods.

I hope so because their franchise is teetering with attendance it seems.

I mentioned this on the main board but I think it would be difficult to find a goalie who has played as much as hellebyuck in the last 8 seasons.

They ride him hard and given his playoff resume and the buffer they have built up this year, I really think it's worth a shot to look at shaving his workload and seeing what effect that can have to his playoff game.

I agree with you. He’s been a lot like Price in his prime where his team has relied on him to carry them into the playoffs. If they could find someone to get some of the work load off, it would likely help him.

Maybe Jets management can start by limiting Hellebuyck to 50GP so he’s fresh for the playoffs…
