Didn't Torts say openly that they also have a development plan? So yes maybe it's not as explicit as Anaheim, but I don't see how it's bad for development if your rookie, who is not playing well at 5v5, would sit one game in the pressbox.
I would expect a generational talent like Michkov to not need this. I was told he was already better than Bedard, Caufield and countless others.

In all seriousness, it's absolutely fine for him to be scratched but it is nice for the Michkovian of HFHabs to be quiet a little. They've been yapping for years now.

It's not bad as long as it's done to let the kid watch the game from above instead of playing it and let the kid focus his energy on training with the coaches between the games. If it's done to punish and to send a message then it can 100% be bad for the development. We have been there and we have done that. Communication is key in a situation like that. The kid needs to know and understand why he is being scratched while vets who are not doing better are not.

Oouf, time must go by slowly in your parts. It's been 16 months.

It's not more than one if there isn't two.

In any way, it's a gross exageration.
More than one is plural. You have the entire internet to help you learn how grammar works.

In any way, I'm done engaging you in this asinine attempt to change the subject from Michkov's play to how you think the english language is used.

More than one = plural. 1.33 is more than 1.

[huge screenshot]

It’s one and half years, not one and half year.

I don’t make the rules, stop trying to be the smartest person in the room, you jabroni.
Years are whole numbers; they are integers. A two year old turns three in January (1.08 of the way through the year) and in May (1.41 of the way through the year), it's just one year. Drinking age is the same thing, you don't round up or down, it's a certain age (eg. 18, 19, or 21) and that's it.

I don't make the rules. Michkovians have been sharing their (increasingly more prescient) opinions for a year and a bit. :sarcasm:

Only the Habs have development plans which sees all our players improve.

Other teams with other prospects (especially ones we didn't pick) can only bust, some bust quickly and others bust less quickly.

It's unreal how good Sam Reinhart has become. The Panthers gave up peanuts for him. Weird how the divisional rival excuse doesn't apply to them. In an alternate universe, MB utilizes the roster spot in the expansion draft by trading for McCann and using the assets used on Dvorak to trade for Reinhart instead.

Reinhart probably ends up a 40-50pts guy here.

Florida gets Dvorak and he's a 60pts guy suddenly

Well he's producing similarly to Bedard and Caufield this year. Nevertheless, I'm not sure where this "Michkovian" term comes from. Are you really going to be saying "HA I told you he wasn't generational" if he's "only" a 70-80 point winger instead of a 90 point player? Maybe let's wait and see what Reinbacher becomes before doing cartwheels that Michkov got scratched when he just got named rookie of the month.

Hope you’re not an english teacher.
So if it's 365.25 days and one second, you're still going to call that a couple years? Totally not disingenuous of you.

It's not that simple. Technically speaking one year doesn't exist. You pretty much never have exactly one year. You'll always have 1 years and a fraction of something (seconds, milliseconds, nanoseconds, ...). The earth move so fast that exactly one year goes by so fast you wont have the time to write one year on a piece of paper before it's over.

You can write one and a half years and a year and a half. The quantity doesn't change yet one is plural and one is not. So yes you can write 1.5 years without using the plural form if you write one year and a half. Like you can say 1 dollar and 50 cents. Mathematically though nobody gives a f***. Now maybe you think i'm being a dick which i am but that's the point ;)

I feel like Buffalo are close to figure it out. So much skills in this group of young players.
I hope not, and hopefully Tage Thompson is the next great player they trade like Eichel/ROR/Reinhart...etc.

I'd pretty much be open to trading anything not named Suzuki/Slaf/Hutson/Demidov/top 4 pick (if we get it this year) for him.

I admit I don't watch a lot of hockey any more....but Patrick Kane says that Auston Matthews is closest in modern game to Pavel Daystuk?!?

Is this accurate?

Because I remember Datsyuk being an elite 2 way forward and I consider Matthews an elite sniper.

Wasn’t Matthews a Selke finalist like last year? And advanced stats shows he has a good defensive game.

Not saying he is Datsyuk level, but he isn’t just a unidimensional sniper like Caufield for example

Apples and oranges.

Okay, relax there Michael Bolton.

Yeah, but is it like Paul Coffey or Erik Karlsson winning the Norris? Not really defensive....just on the ice for more goals for than against? Just asking for a friend.
