Grate n Colorful Oz
Pure Laine Hutson
Will be interesting to say the least
Might give a second breath to Quebec players, seeing how the Q is such a wasteland nowadays

Is this just CHL players that haven't signed a contract?
Yes, only CHL players who haven't signed their ELCs.Is this just CHL players that haven't signed a contract?
Yeah I dont see the W being effected too much maybe the odd star prospect.Might give a second breath to Quebec players, seeing how the Q is such a wasteland nowadays
I read on the mains if the flyers figure he needs a stint in a league other than the NHL he can go right back to KHL and bypass the AHL?Michkov has logged 21+ min 3 times already. I don’t think Torts is out to get the kid. There really is nothing wrong with having a seat in the press box multiple times a year for any player in their first few seasons.
I bet...that he's been trying to communicate with him and coach him since day one of training camp. He’s their 2nd leading scorer. Maybe Torts should try to actually coach him by communicating and taking 1 on 1 time with him.
The deal between SKA and the Flyers has a clause that Michkov can't be send to AHL, it's NHL or KHL.I read on the mains if the flyers figure he needs a stint in a league other than the NHL he can go right back to KHL and bypass the AHL?
Well i hope he figures it out in the nhl for the flyers sakeThe deal between SKA and the Flyers has a clause that Michkov can't be send to AHL, it's NHL or KHL.
Beck is similar playerConnor McMichael is having a great start.
It was not a linear development path... Good thing they were patient with him.
According to the main board, he already has. He's apparently already better than Bedard.Well i hope he figures it out in the nhl for the flyers sake
Man if he was drafted by the habs and followed the exact same trajectory it would be disgusting here. Coach is ruining him, turning him into a grinder, possibly xenophobic etc. Cant say I'm sad to see the cult of michkov humbled a bit.According to the main board, he already has. Honestly, I saw someone qualify his game against the Habs as very good. I had to double check if he really wrote that because he was complete ass during that game. A lot of posters here are unreliable.
Different framing of the situation. Carlsson was framed as load management coupled with more time to train at the gym, to add to his massive frame.
IMO Michkov will (should?) be fine.
Didn't Torts say openly that they also have a development plan? So yes maybe it's not as explicit as Anaheim, but I don't see how it's bad for development if your rookie, who is not playing well at 5v5, would sit one game in the pressbox.Ana never “scratched” him - it was reported Verbeek and his agent had a load management plan in place before the season even started as to when he’d be rested & when he’d play
Torts said Michkov is fine on the PP but has a lot to learn about 5 on 5 hockey and how to play outside offensive zoneDidn't Torts say openly that they also have a development plan? Can someone explain to me how this works?
It sounds like the ncaa is opening its doors to more talent but this tweet suggests that the best chl programs will get an even bigger boost from this?
I think you have it 100% wrong, actually.Man if he was drafted by the habs and followed the exact same trajectory it would be disgusting here. Coach is ruining him, turning him into a grinder, possibly xenophobic etc. Cant say I'm sad to see the cult of michkov humbled a bit.
Lol you may be right on thatI think you have it 100% wrong, actually.
Slafkovsky had 10pts in his rookies season, he had every excuse imaginable doled out for his (lack of) production. Use the same lens and apply the same standards:
It would be the same for Michkov if he were a Hab, and rest assured it'll be the same for Demidov. Any decison made will be the right decision. If he underperforms: it's fine he is a rookie and learning the things that lead to production. If he over-performers: it shows how well the Habs have planned it. If he gets scratched: it's fine he is a rookie who needs breaks and to grow into his body. If he plays heavy minutes: it shows how special he is at a young age. If he's sent to the AHL it's to learn the game, if he's kept up in the NHL its' because the AHL is not where you learn the game. If he eats big hits: it's fine, he's learning. If he avoids physical play: it's fine, he's young and that aspect will come. If he doesn't track back: he is relying on his strengths. If he tracks back but doesn't produce as much: he's mature and playing a playoff-style 200ft game.
Very very very obvious trend.
The only people getting humbled are Habs cultists who root for Michkov's downfall (like they root against Shane Wright, Frank Nazar, and other nearly-Habs). Michkov's doing as good as anybody could expect from him.
