I think we’ll see a big Columbus and Toronto trade this year. You know there will be pressure for Dubas to fix the defense more and correct the goal tending.

Too much sense for them to be partners.
Marner for extended Jones and one of their goalies as the base. Re-sign Hyman and add some tougher middle six forwards with other free cap space.

I don't really see the fit for Columbus. If they trade Jones, it needs to be for blue chip prospects and futures. They could very well be in the same spot with Marner when he hits UFA, and Marner has a NMC in the final two years of his deal after the 2022-23 season. I don't see them being competitive anytime soon either once they lose Jones and have no centers.

I mean, I feel bad for Steve Dangle and a few other TOR fans who've been suffering (kind of like Edmonton). But given how often we've gotten ****ed by Toronto (not the team, but NHL HQ) and dealt with BS TOR fans (Marner tiers/tears above Aho, Nylander <> Pesce++, scraps+ <> actual valuable player), I'm really enjoying the implosion and tirades of the shit-talkers.

I dont understand the fascination with Dangle or the want to watch a game with him.

He's entertaining, and a lot of his reactions are things fans (of any team) have said/thought about their own team. Honestly, a lot about what he said regarding Marner and his contract in his latest video applies to our situation with Hamilton.

People like to have their thoughts/feelings validated by seeing someone "famous" react the same way they do in real time. Or if you hate/dislike the thing they're reacting to, for the sake of schaudenfreude.

Youtube is making a killing off of "reaction videos" of people "reacting" to everything: memes, sporting events, fast food items, movies, etc

Music. They get professionals of the field of music to comment on a concert video to tell you why your favorite band is sooooo talented and how their supposedly operatic singer supposedly utterly blows out an actual real-life opera singer with what she does vocally.

And sell advertisements on the side, and everyone goes home happy.

I only hopped around the video after the fact. He seems like a good guy who is getting paid to be a fan. Wears his emotions on his sleeve like any of us, but just puts his face out there publicly over it. Kind of appreciate it, to be honest.

But yeah the lockdown pretty much supercharged the vlogger dynamic. There was a period of time last year where the only thing that was putting out content were the vloggers (YouTube, Twitch, etc) and it has kinda taken off. I would not be surprised if you start seeing more professional franchises partner with vloggers for fan reaction videos going forward. Would not be shocked at all if the Canes jump at it as soon as next season.

I liked that he added the thing with Canadian residential schools.
