St Louis is 3 outs away from being the first team eliminated. Just goes to show just how much of a crapshoot the MLB playoffs are.
To think we could have the Cubs and Mets playing for the National League pennant as of tonight.
Quick show of hands; who had that at the beginning of the year? Be honest
Let's not start making excuses if the Jays lose tomorrow. Yankees won 27 WS titles, are they that lucky?
First series clinching win by Cubs in Wrigley Field history? That is crazy.

Wait....the first time they clinched a series at Wrigley Field....ever? Did I read that right? Is it just a DS?
Question: how come in baseball playoffs teams don't shake hands after the series is over?
If the Jays don't win, I'm rooting for the Cubbies.

No, they've been around for over 100 years and have well over the highest payroll every year.

I think it's a cop out. Is management going to put their head in the sand and say "oh well, MLB playoffs are a crapshoot. We'll get em next year"? You have to look at reason why you lost. You can't just dismiss it as a "crapshoot".

Ok....looked things up...the last time the made the World Series was 1945. LCS were not introduced until 1969. DS in 1995. Since the introduction of the LCS the Cubs have won 2 series before tonight, so that's not that bad then when you look at it that way.
