Year 1 of a deal might be 11%, but year 8 won’t be. A team gives players actual raises, they don’t just maintain the percentage. That’s not even possible, because the cap changes by it’s nature.

You start at 11% and you end at 8%. That doesn’t mean your next contract has to be 11% again

Especially when you’re producing at an 8% rate
