Ric Dipiertro - i know we are a hurting team but if this bust doesn't get our scoring going we might as well fold the franchise. If it wasn't for his contract he'd be at Pascal Leclaire's house watching TV

Ottawa 4-3.

This one I don't understand...

O'Brien out? He's been one of our most consistent forwards

And DD/Grant/Daugavins will play????

No, lines should be (if Regin is back) :

Silfverberg-Turris-Alfredsson
Regin-Da Costa-Condra
Zibanejad-Smith-Neil
Greening-O'Brien-Grant

Daugavins and DD (back to Bingo) should sit IMO

Lundin has been fine but still a bit out of game shape. No NHL camp + long term injury is not easy to shake off.

I cannot for the life of me, understand how they play Daugavins..

Am I the only one that doesn't think Lundin has been bad? Meh.

I also think that Silfverberg is more effective as a left winger than a right winger. Gives him that easy option to cut across the ice and fire off that wrister (IMO).

He certainly had his best game as a LW thats for sure.

Agree we need to relocate if we lose to the Islanders, it would be a franchise-defining event.

6-2 Senators, win it or move it.

Isles got embarassed yesterday. No doubt they are going to try to restore their pride...

Based on our track record, we typically need to limit our opponent to one goal or less to have a chance of winning.

He's better than Greening.

I agree that O'Brien being out is bizarre.

Daugavins is not better than Greening.

People have been WAY too hard on Greening this year. Of course he doesn't look as good as he did on Spezza's wing...but he's still doing a decent job, and was good yesterday. Give him a bit more time with Da Costa and he'll be fine.

Why's Jimmy out? I actually think he has been pretty good this season (didn't get to watch yesterday's game though)

I think we're just using the depth we have (had). Need guys to stay fresh with this Supercharged schedule.

Yeah Greening has been pretty bad this year, but Daugavins has never been good. IMO

Easily the most frustrating player to watch, it's insane the amount of times he completely messes up a routine and easy play...

We're talking about Greenig, right?

At Daug tries to put a guy on his arse when he throws a hit instead the old Greening love bump.

Have to agree, Greening is so frustrating to watch which is easy for me to say being a non NHLer haha but with those tools i cannot understand how someone hasnt drilled it at him, hit to hurt and go hard to the net....and if i see that outside move to the corner to wait for help one more time im gonna scream

The reason I like Daugavins and O'Brien is that they bring footspeed and intensity to the game.

They can bring the puck through the neutral zone with speed and get it into the offensive zone.

I'm not sure what's happened to Greening, but his floating-style of game doesn't fill me with confidence.
