THE GREAT: Sogaard looks REALLY good out there. In fact, this is the best he's looked in the NHL, as far as fundamentals, poise and steadiness are concerned. Just turned 24yo, perhaps it's starting to click for him.

THE GOOD: Norris is really punishing opponents out there (physically). Combined with his speed, that aspect of his game has stood out in the best way this season.

THE BAD: Giroux continues to look very old. He has REALLY fallen off a cliff this year. Replace him with the year 1 version of himself or another legitimate top 6 forward and we're likely competing for the division title.

THE WTF: Is Kleven still drunk from Christmas or something? What kind of a start to the 1st period was that?

I think Giroux has been fine. He's been making nice passes and also playing massive for our PK. Part of the reason we're winning is because of Giroux. Just because he isn't pouring out the offense doesn't mean he isn't making this team better.

I thinks he's been good positionally nd challenged the shooter, but has let out some rebounds into dangerous areas. It's a bit early imo to praise him or be critical, he has had to make any huge saves, and has made all the ones he's needed to.

He looks small at times to me but if it’s going to be like this all game he doesn’t have to be Ullmark

It's not so much the offense itself, as it is his puck touches and decision making.

In his first two years, he was almost Alfie-like, in the sense that he was a puck magnet, every pass would be crisp, tape-to-tape, he'd play complete 200ft game and rarely make a mistake... Oh and yes, he was absolutely magic offensively.

This season, his decision making is slow, plays are dying on his stick, pucks are turned over, battles are lost along the board, the automatic offensive touch is gone, etc.

I completely disagree with you about the fact that his passing has been sharp. However, we're in agreement with regards to his PK and faceoffs play, which are still excellent.
