Haters gonna hate.

Leaf fans, Hab fans, Wings fans, and one particularly deranged Boston fan.

The circus is in town and the clowns are everywhere.

Plus the leaf loving mods keep removing my very accurate observations about the OP
My post got deleted as well for what I can only assume is for saying I'm not surprised who posted it, despite me actually commenting on the two plays in the OP

What a complete player.
Remember when it was Pinto's fault Debrincat wasn't good here? Many Many posters jumped on this train. BTW he beat Debrincat to the back post there. BTW this narrative was always wrong. Debrincat got to play first pp and on a line with Pinto and Batherson and did not have to take the #1 matchups from the other team. That's plenty if opportunity to succeed. The player we saw here last year is the same player we are seeing in Detroit.

Yeah but did you consider whether Gary’s hard hitting higher shooting percentage means higher goals for Stutzle and Caufield analysis might apply to DeBrincat?

I’m not an expert like Gary so I can’t tell.

I think the Debrincat deal is working out to be a win win actually. We obviously (still) have too many scoring forwards and needed more defensive balance to the group. Detroit needed a pure scorer. Our return sucked, but moving on was best for all parties imo. Seeing his "effort" on the OT goal is a great example. But for them, he does more than enough to offset those deficiencies. With us, he was a second line player and fairly redundant in his skill set.

I am happy to move on from that and Detroit fans presumably are very happy to have him.

Hate that Stu is getting hammered for the penalty call. Anyone who plays knows that if your skates knock like that you are losing your edge and falling. But I def think the call was bad. No dive, no penalty. Keep playing.

Hope Sandy is okay after the break..

Sentiment might be nice but no that was not an addition by subtraction type thing. Dorion had to get a tad more value for him than he did. Horrendous trade

Meh, the Detroit player dragged his leg and that's why contact was made.

The “Big Thing” is a supercharger…. Am going to assume because there are no plates, that it for use at the track.

But was posted in Favour of the GWG, #57.
No front plates are required in a lot of states, as well as in Quebec, but there are laws about obstructing the view which likely would limit that car to track use (more likely just drag strips and shows would be my guess).

Historically, every time a guy sticks a leg out and a guy falls because of it it's a penalty. It's been pretty straightforward and simple up until now. Stick parallel to the ice and in or near a guy's hands? Almost automatic hooking call. It's bizarre how unravelled some people are getting about this kid.

Debrincat is who he is - highly skilled player who tends to score in bunches and thrives off fast paced, free flowing regular season hockey. When the checking gets tighter and the play gets more physical, he turns into a pumpkin.

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
And who would've thought? It figures

DBC deal was pretty bad for us.

We really didnt get anything of note outside of a really late 1st rounder.

If he scores 70+ points for Det he is worth his contract and then some

Debrincat looks better with a better center in Larkin. They mesh really well. He is on pace for 70+ points for their team. This contract is well worth it for them, Larkin is also a shooter so DBC has been able to be also a playmaker.

Would you rather have a player who can score and play make or just a scorer? I would easily swap out that DBC contract for Norris
