We are just lucky Giroux wanted to come back to the Ottawa area.
Hopefully he will extend his contract in Ottawa.

Say what you want. Another terrible period against the worst team in hockey. That's going on 6 straight now. They weren't ready and they simply aren't doing the hard things that you have to do in this league. Doesn't matter which team you are. No one gets by on skill alone. Florida is the hardest working team in the league and they have way more skill. There is something inherently wrong with this group of players. Giroux is the hardest working and most consistent player on this team. He's 36. I hope Staios and Co can get down to who the problem is here. Won't matter who the coach is.

See I don't mind if he hits the post there if he didn't bail on hitting 2 guys on the forcheck because he's a p***y. You get to miss chances if you're gonna work hard and compete. But he's floating and collecting a pay cheque.

tbh I'm quite happy to come out of that period tied - other than a stretch of 5 minutes including hte Timmy goal, it looked like we were quite outplayed
