Galchenyuk tries hard but ... sometimes his decision making is iffy. Not sure what was that pass to a tied up player (Eller I think).
It was a good pinch by Gilbert. He had a lot of room and he was the closest to the puck and Eller was covering for him. It didn't lead to anything this time but it was a good decision.
Gilbert once upon a time put up decent offensive numbers....
I think it's time to swap RWs on 1st and 2nd line.
DSP or Semin on 1st line and Gallagher on 2nd.
They both need a little change. They haven't been bad but it's just lack of execution.
As I say this Galchenyuk waits too long for a pass and passes it in the skates. Just need a different player on there, minor swap.
Habs look like complete dog **** out there right now.
Top line is comatose the last five games
Paccioretty's fault.Galchenyuk really struggles in his decision making with the puck.

It doesn't help when Eller looks totally lost out there.
Those times are over. If he can't do the 3rd pairing job then he should be out like Semin. 3rd pairing job is to play physical and play good defense (unless you are a young offensive player learning the game like Beaulieu).
Gilbert had his chances last year on the 2nd pairing and failed. He is now a vet 3rd pairing d and he needs to play accordingly to that.
Markov and Petry should be the #1 PP D pairing. Subban is a huge liability at the point on the PP now. He can't even shoot the puck anymore, he's "Brisebois'ing" every shot.

Eller is a complimentary player. He won't lead the charge.
He's had some rough stretches but he's been good at regained puck possession tonight.
