Galchenyuk tries hard but ... sometimes his decision making is iffy. Not sure what was that pass to a tied up player (Eller I think).

I think it's time to swap RWs on 1st and 2nd line.

DSP or Semin on 1st line and Gallagher on 2nd.

They both need a little change. They haven't been bad but it's just lack of execution.

As I say this Galchenyuk waits too long for a pass and passes it in the skates. Just need a different player on there, minor swap.

Gilbert once upon a time put up decent offensive numbers....

Those times are over. If he can't do the 3rd pairing job then he should be out like Semin. 3rd pairing job is to play physical and play good defense (unless you are a young offensive player learning the game like Beaulieu).

Gilbert had his chances last year on the 2nd pairing and failed. He is now a vet 3rd pairing d and he needs to play accordingly to that. When Subban gets stuck and a forward don't cover him people point fingers at him. The standard should even be higher for a defensive guy like Gilbert.

Markov and Petry should be the #1 PP D pairing. Subban is a huge liability at the point on the PP now. He can't even shoot the puck anymore, he's "Brisebois'ing" every shot.

It doesn't help when Eller looks totally lost out there.

God I hate playing the Sens, especially when we're the ones at home. They have the little waterbugs who skate like the wind against us and are effective when they see a 2 on 1 breakdown or are on the PP. The rest slug it out with a grinding game that makes it simple and forces the Habs to be rougher than they're capable of being. Meanwhile the goalie will do the rest if it falters. And they always manage to be outshot and outchanced, lose all the analytic stat battles. Throw in some subtle hooking/holding and interference and good fortune. Plus their coach (unlike the Walrus who was at least a witty troll) is a bitter beer-faced jerkass. Hmmm, it kind of feels like what it must be like for our opponents in the Therrien era

Habs look like complete dog **** out there right now.

Sens are playing decent defense tonight. But yeah, we're not executing too well offensively. There will be games like that. We're going to need a few decent bounces and Condon continuing his amazing play to win this one.

I really believe Pateryn would be a better option at this point

I think no one was trailing on D and no one stayed in the high slot to support him.
