They only see tickets for the south stands lower bowl.

I'm pretty sure they have opened up the upper level in the past though? (opening night etc.) I'm sure they'd be happy to open up the North side too if people were going to buy tickets. Granted, they would need some advanced time to plan and get the people required but if they sold out early enough I'm sure they would make as many seats available as they could.

They're all losing teams. Whitecaps and Montreal came straight out the gate with winners and great coaches. The Champions? Baseball is the worst sport, even if they win the title you could ask a bus full of people if they heard of it and none will.

Majority of the audience is friends, family, and scouts for the players. We need an MLS team ASAP, what is preventing it from happening? Seems like the NASL crowds are pretty large for what it is, and we have 2 major rival cities within a trainride??

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal_Impact_(1992–2011)

You should get your facts straight... first of all, The Impact have existed since at least the late 80s when they had a team in the CSL... they were called the Supra... and just before the MLS, they were in the NASL. They already had a team together. Same with Vancouver. Ottawa started from scratch. Big difference.

And if you think Dos Santos is not a good coach... well sir, I don't know what to say to you.

If you think MLS is that much of a higher calibre than the NASL, I think you need to brush up on your soccer knowledge.

I live next to the baseball stadium and there is actually a decent amount of people that go to the games, especially considering it's not even AAA.

I think you're just a very negative person... maybe you should cheer up a bit, you would have more fun.

Fury had an intersquad game this morning at Carleton the whites beat the blacks 4-2

Interesting who the scorers were, forwards suddenly scoring now there is competition.

Heinemann nets a pair for Team Black, but Team White prevails 4-2 (Wiedeman (2), Haworth, AAH)

Not much to get excited about, honestly. Has never been a full-time starter in the NASL. Started one game for Ft. Lauderdale in the Spring Season. At 6'2, he's another aerial threat (which the team apparently already has in Heinemann).

It's time the team legitimately splashed some cash to bring in a proper finisher.

Finishing 9th losing 3-2 or finishing 7th drawing 0-0 every game; which would you pick? What about the neutrals and casual soccer fans who might not enjoy watching a 0-0 snoozefest?

great job on marking the field, all the lines from last nights Redblacks game gone.

What a goal by Trafford. Fury FC building on the Redblacks success last night so far it looks like.

Peiser also officially now holds the longest consecutive shutout streak in NASL history.

Good win today 2-0 Att. 6150

Fury defence again magnificent absorbing everything that Jacksonville through at them. Traffords goal was basically a rebound after shot hit the post, he basically had an open net. Not sure what Wiedemann does.
Traffords smash from about 2yds https://vine.co/v/enahaaK3ilt

Heinnemann's goal https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/BB...p4?versionId=PxkBawnKfjYXQbGVMGXXztAPl.Gmwcub

With the win today Ottawa is tied for 1st place in Fall schedule and 5th overall in combined seasons.

FCE played up in Fort McMurray today, and I'm surprised they even scraped 1000. Doesn't strike me as much of a 'footy' town.

NY drew 3700-something against Indy, forget the exact numbers but not great. Their location is killing them, as they're groundsharing with Hofstra University right across from the Islanders' old Nassau Coliseum.

Huge result today for Fury, who gritted their teeth and bore down defensively to get the three points. Fall season title in the works?:handclap:

Anyone know how it's done exactly?

It's pretty impressive, although I've been to Fury games where there is are faint pointy-ball lines on the turf but it is always generally pretty good.

Far cry from the old days when teams in N. America (even in the MLS) would play games on fields where the both sets of lines were on the field. Always looked horrible.

The Redblacks home opener had outlines of the 20 yard box and all that still on the turf. Maybe it was because they were on there for an extended period of time due to the WWC? Not sure, but it was noticeable on TV.

The Fury have played quite a few games with the football lines still on the field. I had barely recovered from my hangover from the RB when I arrived at the Fury game, so I was shocked when they had managed to scrub the lines.

What a great game to be at. Awesome attendance and atmosphere.

Unfortunately we had a new camera right in front of our front row seats. It completely blocked our view of one of the nets. I mentioned this to someone and they brought us up into Ottos Club. Much better view up there! I really wish they would open up the top deck. I would rather sit up there.

Fun getting to go on the field post game and meet some of the players too. They should be doing that more often. Make the players VERY accessible. It will help sell the game.

Fury in action tonight in Minnesota. Ottawa undefeated in six (albeit, four ties), and a win would do wonders for their playoff hopes. Minny's having a weird year - best in the league in 2014, they've sold their top player and haven't really come around at all yet this year.

You can watch tonight's game for free on the Fury site here.

Pretty entertaining draw for what it was. Thought Heinemann & Wiedeman starting together generated a lot of good quality chances early on.

Sad to see Oliver get injured get again and it looked absolutely brutal...

Is it just me or does Minny's stadium get bigger and nicer every time we visit?
