Thank you, I keep reading on Twitter how Boston and other teams would do anything to get Brady on their team… this is what it would take imo, something like this.

McAvoy is great and I think value-wise it is good, just not helping us overcome our low scoring.

Marchand and McAvoy wouldn't interest me as centerpieces in a Brady trade, as much as I would love to add either guy.

Marchand, in particular, isn't a guy Ottawa can pay anything significant for unless he is at least open to an extension. If he was willing to extend in Ottawa, I would gladly pony up for him... but I would be a lot less interested in acquiring and extending him if we no longer had Brady.

Well first off Marchand doesn't want to go anywhere. But why on earth would OTT trade Tkachuk and Yakemchuk for McAvoy and Marchand?

@Filthy Dangles I guess I'm higher on Yakemchuk then most? I think he's right there in the top 5 of Nikishin, Mateychuk, Mintyukov, Zellweger. Add in Buium if you like.

I just think trading Tkachuk with Marchand attached makes no sense. Unless he wants out of Ottawa. Marchand and Giroux will be done soon and that leaves Ottawa with Stutzle, Norris and Batherson for offense... makes no sense to me.

Like I said I'm high on Yakemchuk (I even traded Guhle for him) and Tkachuk showed why he's a beast in 4 Nations.

There was very little chance Sens would trade Brady but after the four nations tourney, there is zero chance. Unless its for a ridiculous over payment.

For reasons stated above a Tkachuk/McAvoy base makes very little sense for the Senators. Value wise it’s fine but as much as I’d love to see a Sanderson/McAvoy shutdown pairing it’s taking from an area of need the team can’t afford to give up (scoring and grit/physicality)

At this point Tkachuk would only move for a gross overpayment and that only changes if BT decides he doesn’t want to play in Ottawa. Pasternak probably falls into that category but for obvious reasons I’m sure the Bruins balk at that price.

Marchand just seem seems like a non starter. I’m not sure what would draw him to re-signing in Ottawa. If he’s leaving the Bruins it’s for greener pastures and a shot at the cup.
