Ottawa 67s 2024-25 Season Thread, Part II

Pretty bad period for the 67's but I liked Avila again. He's both aggressive and assertive. Didn't play much but was still noticeable. Could be a good one.

That looked awful for Foster. The way he landed it could be a shoulder or collarbone. Hopefully we see him return tonight but the way he grabbed his arm and headed right down the tunnel I doubt it.

All this talk about Mews leaving to the NCAA next year. If he does Sudbury made a deal for this year and gets back a few conditional picks and hopefully a deeper playoff run with the group we have here including Musty. Mews has 5 points in two games already. So it's really like dealing for a 19 year graduating player who we don't expect to come back. If he does because he signs with Calgary then we get a players who we can keep an entire year a pretty decent group coming back or he can be dealt at the deadline depending on the direction of the team. I don't view it as a loss whatever way it goes for Sudbury. I think Ottawa only loses if he comes back to Sudbury and we can deal him at next years deadline for possibly an 09 player and picks. But time will tell I guess. Until then can't blame the kid I'm sure there will other players in the league who will play it out the same as Mews in the coming years. Hopefully for your sake it isn't Ottawa again.

I hope the Ottawa fan who got arrested for attacking the mascot tonight frequently this board. What a tool.

Unfortunatley there has always been that portion of teens that want to do that. Evenin the beginning I had a handler with Riley for that purpose and to warn fans. The other side that I was lucky in was that Doug Drain and his people had an understanding.

Also from what i see it was easier in my costume to make repairs and or get the hell out of dodge when there was an issue.
