I am concerned that, with the recent revamping of the HC Board, the Old Boys Club has simply moved out of sight. Don't get me wrong. The revamp is long overdue, but it should be paired with a re-examination of how HC selects and staffs its international teams. That doesn't means blow it all up. It means know what we are trying to accomplish and how.You cannot blame Dave Cameron for being Dave Cameron. He is not the right fit for Team Canada. Those that select the Coaching staff should have known that. By extension, those that are in charge of the 67’s should also know that if you sign Dave Cameron to a contract extension, you are going to get Dave Cameron and everything that comes with him…. Good and bad.
Is there mention of a Player to Be Born Later?

The US program benefits from the college teams that can put together 5 or 6 top prospects and have them play together for years. No way that works in Junior. We may have to get creative.Completely different discussion but I think HC needs a way of bringing together their best players more often and if that means they miss CHL games to do it then so be it.
They need to set up more exhibition games vs CIS teams and/or CHL All Star teams. The USNTDP may not be perfect but many of the top US born players play together for years.

Sorry but this is a huge overpay!!! Hay and Bishop are not worth multiple 2nds and 3rds. God awful deal by Cooper. I think he got too many pucks to the head when he was a goalie. Why not go for Musty for those picks and players.WOW where did Kingston get all those picks from. 16 picks and 1 player for 3 players

Hearing the Oshawa Generals are now the front runner to land Luca Pinelli. This trade could happen as soon as tomorrow

SHUSH! Ummm. I think these prices are accurate. Now, how much do you want to trade Foster for?
I would use the Beck return the Petes got as the likely return if it is Oshawa. Player and 3 picks maybe they get a couple late ones on top of a 2,3,4If that happens, the only fit is Griffin. Apparently he did not waive his NTC for SSM. I see no reason why he’d waive it for Ottawa.
BUT, if he were to waive it, then adding an ‘07 centre would be good. He’s still on the small side but growing. He grew an inch and gained 15 pounds between his draft and the start of this season. Hopefully he will grow a bit more.
Oshawa does not have draft picks that would push the needle on this trade. They also don’t’ have any other ‘07s that would push the needle on this trade. The only other ‘07 of value is Wang and with how hard they’ve been working to get him into a Generals Uniform, I cannot see them moving Wang. Stranger things have happened though.
I am not sure how good of a fit this is but it is a viable possibility. Boyd will most likely favour a deal getting a really good player back as opposed to bulking up on picks.
Is that supposed to be exciting as a return? Not trolling, don’t know Griffin well, strikes me as very .If I were to hedge a guess, having no knowledge on the details of a speculative trade between Oshawa and Ottawa, I would guess...
Pinelli for Griffin, 3rd, 4th, 4th.

Griffins to be a fan favorite around the arena. Last year it took him along time to get his first goal but also was always in the right position just had a string of bad luck.Is that supposed to be exciting as a return? Not trolling, don’t know Griffin well, strikes me as very .
I've read somewhere that Wang didn't want to really play for Oshawa and wanted to stay in the lower league. The only other ‘07 of value is Wang and with how hard they’ve been working to get him into a Generals Uniform, I cannot see them moving Wang. Stranger things have happened though.

I am not a fan of DC but I see some similarities in what I read and hear between him Mav, Killer and Burt. They all reached a point where their style of coaching had to change more than they were capable of.You cannot blame Dave Cameron for being Dave Cameron. He is not the right fit for Team Canada. The fact that after lackluster games DC did not bring players on the ice to go through things not did he take action with players that needed it.
As to developing young talent and playing with some offensive flair is going to be a problem next year.
The fact that he has a year left on his contract is also a problem.
Does the team let him and boyd go a lameduck year and take a chance milley doesn't get an offer
Do they sign boyd and buyout DC
I think coaching has to be decided before the end of the season so agents know what their players can expect.y
There are going to be a few coaching position come open.
My concern is not the players that could be signed that have been drafted. It is the players that we could draft this year and will say no thanks.I am not a fortune teller but I think the Senior Management needs to weigh in and put pressure on Boyd. They don’t need to tell him to fire Cameron at the end of the season but they do need to tell him that he needs to decide who’s wagon he wants to hitch himself to. Let him decide. But, if he decides wrong then he has to pay the price.
IMO, I think it would be prudent for OSEG to accept Cameron’s retirement resignation at the end of the season and pay out the remaining year of his contract. I think that would be the responsible thing to do for both sides. Will it happen like that? I don’t know but if we start to see more NCAA guys continue to sign around the league and the 67’s with all the investment in picks drafting quality NCAA committed players don’t end up signing anyone of consequence, I think that is a huge red flag. So, if this plays out like that over the summer, I think they have to at minimum hold back on the contract extension and see what transpires for both Cameron and Boyd.
I mean, if they are unable to get pen to paper with Vandenberg, a player intheir own back yard, what do you do?
NO, the U.S. team benefits from the under-system. Imagine the 12 best 12-year-olds in Ontario playing on the same team. for 4 years. Then, we will get together to represent Ontario at the Under 17 and Under 18 and then the WJC.The US program benefits from the college teams that can put together 5 or 6 top prospects and have them play together for years. Interesting I hope they have a good lineup and draft this year because next year is going to suck big time.WOW where did Kingston get all those picks from. 16 picks and 1 player for 3 players

not only do they know each other, but they have the same coach with the same system, which, funny enough, is the same system tht NCAA teams use.
The players spend a few weeks in the off season playing together
Consider branpton, Barrie London having a team in bantam that is all their players with coaches that know the system of the OHL team and teach it right from Bantam up unti lthe kids make the OHL team. How good would they be if they knew exactly where everyone is? They know what they are doing and where to put a pass without looking.
