As an Ottawa fan, no.

Brassard is better than RNH at this stage of their careers and Ceci has more value than Sekera and Fayne combined.

I'm not high on Phaneuf but he is a serviceable #4D. I don't see how this makes Ottawa better now or the future.

Nuge and Sekera are better than Brassard and Phaneuf, but not by enough to make up for Fayne/Ceci. That said, downgrading for depth isn't something we need to do, so I'm not sure I'd actually take it anyways

They had a rough game #1 but rebounded very nicely in game #2.

Ceci played 25mins last night and looked pretty good.

I'd decline though just because I want no part of the Phaneuf contract. It would cause huge problems in the future resulting in us losing a piece we'd really rather not.

I doubt the Oilers want anything to do with Phaneuf or his contract. I'm sure they're also pretty happy with RNH and Sekera

Sekera has a NMC i do believe but just for argument sake he waives........and I accept for the Oilers but the Sens do not.

Yeah not even close, we aren't trading away a top 4 d-man to get RNH at 6 million to play 3C behind Turris and Brassard. Then we'd also have a huge hole on the 2nd pairing.

Im not a fan of any of the teams but agree on this.
