Buffalo: Fowler

Anaheim: Ott 1st + (dont know which cost controlled assets the Ducks would be interested in)

Ottawa: Kane + Buff 2nd

roast me...but need help from ducks fans as to what players they would be interested in - Ottawas 1st is a good start there needs to be more in that deal.

is the answer jesus

I could see Anaheim taking futures if all else fails and they need to free up cap space to sign Lindholm, but I think the more ideal scenario is moving Fowler out for a cheaper top 6 winger. IMO Kane would be a good fit if it weren't for his high cap hit.

Absolutely no way that Ottawa gives up a 1st in a deal for Kane. Management wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.

Clearly, Buffalo cuts out Ott by sending Kane (salary retained) to Anaheim for Fowler. :)

I was thinking that originally, but I'm not sure 50% would even do it.

I assumed the purpose of moving Fowler was to get rid of a decent chunk of the cap, while getting good value back. Kane at 50% would give the Ducks only 1 mil in cap relief.

Thats where Ottawa/or a third team fits in

And now we run into the central tension in all these Anaheim threads.

- They need to cut cap.
- Nobody seems to be accepting their cap dumps for sportsmanship's sake yet.
- Their expendable guy with actual value is Fowler.
- But Fowler is actually one of their best value contracts, so
- Every Fowler trade that actually cuts cap in a substantial way is going to be something less than his real value.

I don't know how this is going to end, maybe somebody yet does them a favor and takes Stoner. But it'll be curious.

Ottawa would never take Kane. Ever.

Ottawa does not target problem players.

Anaheim would want a very good player for Fowler as well. Not picks.

Mark my word... Kane and is salary is not in the future plans of Eugene Melnyk. Unless you have interest massive salary retention and losing high picks ? The return would not even be a 3rd for you guys... Go visith the sens board, theres an discussion open on Melnyk, the Sens and the budget that we're going with

Not trading Fowler with the main piece being a 1st round pick so the + would need to be a good NHL player of the top 6 kind but then Fowler doesn't have that kind of player and Senators 1st round pick value. Also don't think Senators want to take on that troubled Kane especially trading away a 1st round pick to do it. Sabres are probably stuck with Kane until his contract is up.

This is like your 10th Kane to Ottawa proposal, each one met with 99% of Sens fans saying they want no part of Kane (right or wrong)

It's time to shut er' down and move on

We were the 7th team in the entire league in scoring last year, and that was without MacArthur all year and with a coach so incompetent that put Mark Borowiecki on our 1st line at one point.

Scoring is not an issue. We do not need Evander Kane. We need to keep goals out of our own net, and Kane is not the guy to help with that.

Buffalo - Huge win by both addition AND subtraction
Anaheim - Loss by subtraction
Ottawa - Loss by addition
