You gotta wonder why they didn't reach out to someone like Bill Cower or Tony Dungy about making a comeback.

Broncos totally blew that. Absolutely out played Seattle and should have won 34-17.

No idea what that play call was at the end. You had 3 time outs to get the ball back if you wanted to kick it. Just send the kicking crew out instead of wasting all the time and your key 3rd timeout.

I didn’t think any coach could possibly manage the last two minutes worse than Uncle Vic…I was wrong.
When I saw them letting the clock run I freaking knew they were gonna try for that FG. Otherwise they would have immediately called a timeout. it was a no doubter they were gonna kick it and that is the sad part.

It was against the Seahawks so you can't read too much into it, but I thought the offense was fine tonight. They moved the ball well and really should have scored more. For my sanity I'm going to brush off those goal line fumbles as outliers. The defense was solid in the second half, though was dogshit in the first.

To me this game came down to way too many penalties, and that last minute. What the f*** was that?

If you knew nothing about football you could have guessed Nathaniel Hacket was a first time head coach.

WTF was that.
And that stunt at the end with the timeouts.
Just take the L

Like Bud, you drained 45 seconds off the clock just before the that.

I honestly think he doesn’t know about thin air in denver. I’m being serious.

I guarantee he thought he had all three time outs left still. He had three fingers up talking to the refs after the first snap. Then likely was too embarrassed to not call the last timeout.

A week 1 disaster. Lots of poop and clear indicators this team was not ready for a real game. The defense in the first half missing tackles and committing penalties like this is still practice. The offense not able to score in the redzone. A running back having the most receptions of the bunch. And of course the last few minutes of horrid clock mismanagement and decision to kick a 64 field goal.

Thankfully this is week 1 where a lot of nutty stuff happens. I hope Hackett learns from this mess quickly or if he will be like Fangio and not bother.

As a Bills fan who suffered through Hackett- that was the Hackett special. Dude doesn't have a creative bone in his body, and he isn't aggressive. Really hope Russ can win despite him; I really like Wilson and the Broncos, but the coaching is really concerning.

What's the f***ing point of spending all those assets to get a decent QB if you're going to pull him with 30 seconds and two time outs left only to kick a low percentage hail mary field goal?

Take my thoughts with a grain of salt, my family have been Chief fans for as long as I can remember. But you can bet your ass Reid has that ball in Mahomes hands in that situation.

Over a minute and 3 time outs left actually.

Uh-oh, there are few things I hate more than a conservative football coach. I had hoped the Broncos had learned their goddamned lesson after Fox and Fangio (no idea what VJ was other than just plain bad) but I guess not.

Anyway, I did like the fact that the Broncos now have a guy behind center who can actually get the ball to the talented receiver corps. And while he's no star, Albert O conducted himself well.

But I don't care that JaVonte fumbled on the very next drive I do NOT understand why in hell they brought Melvin back, who did what he always does, lose the ball at the worst possible moment.

Also don't know what to make of the defense. Why in the world would you send Chubb into coverage on a much-needed third down stop?

Wilson while in Seattle his usage of the TE was limited. Most of the stuff was short to the outside of the tackle box or the boundary. Not as many passes that were what Smith threw to Parkinson.
Wilson will throw to the outside while in the pocket. He goes to the middle on quick slants or if the pocket opens up and he ha a clear view of the field. Can’t really change that given his height. Vision will be obstructed by the linemen in front.
