Break couldn't be coming at a better time for the Nugs.

Gordon (calf), Porter (hamstring), Westbrook (hamstring), Watson (knee), and Cancar (knee) are all working their way back. Murray has been on and off the injury report for most of the season. Jordan is 36. A whole week off is big.

We should get Westbrook, Porter, and Gordon back immediately coming out of the break. Cancar and Watson might be late February/early March but they should all be back with plenty of time for Malone to figure out the playoff rotation.

Gotta admit when the Nuggets get everyone back im gonna be kind of bummed - I’ve liked watching these kids lately the past few games. Was hoping Trey Alexander was going to get in again last night but Portland just kept hanging around.

You don't want to see guys like Nnaji, Pickett, Tyson, or Saric against good teams.

We played 8 bad teams in a row that had injury issues worse than we did. That plus these guys playing most of their minutes with Jokic has given the false impression that they've improved as players. They haven't, and in large sample sizes against quality teams they'll be exposed like they were early in the year and all last year. Especially if we ask them to play their minutes with Jordan, Westbrook, and Strawther off the bench rather than with Jokic, Murray, and Braun.

Yeah I agree with ya but watchin the kids is still fun. I think the media greatly over exaggerates Pickett; I just don’t see it with him. I guess he doesn’t make a lot of mistakes but I don’t see a lot of offensive threat in him.

I think the only two dudes that have maybe earned more time through this stretch are Zeke and Strawther. Zeke is still pretty awful but I think he should at least get 5-10 mins a game. Strawther’s offense has really started to click but it’s very obvious come playoff time that he’s going to get picked on over in the defensive end.

Oh well - this stretch has been fun while it’s lasted.

If we're healthy Zeke should play zero minutes. We don't need to play five forwards and Porter, Gordon, Watson, and Cancar are all better players than Zeke by a considerable margin.

Pickett is a fantastic passer and a solid defender but he'll always be limited by his poor handles, inconsistent shooting, slow footspeed, and below average size.

Rotation should be

Starters:
1. Jokic
2. Murray
3. Gordon
4. Porter
5. Braun

Main bench rotation:
6. Westbrook
7. Watson
8. Strawther
9. Jordan
10. Cancar (won't play every night)

Situational only (when someone else is hurt or in foul trouble):
11. Nnaji
12. Pickett

Deep bench:
13. Saric
14. Tyson
15. Alexander
16. Hall
17. Jones

Out for season:
18. Holmes
