Doesn't make sense to me, either, but he's Chicago-born and won an MVP with the franchise before his knees failed him and it all went downhill.

Due to injuries he doesn't have the personal accolades to warrant this, even his PPG isn't in the top-5 in Bulls franchise history.

Really strange decision, especially considering he only spent 8 of his 16 professional seasons with them.

It’s definitely weird. I’ve seen a lot of Bulls fans going crazy (in a good way) over it and saying it’s the 100% right thing to do. I don’t get it. Outside looking in he was really good but I wouldn’t call him a franchise legend. I guess they know what’s best for themselves tho.
