Olinemen always hold there for the initial pass block and they are allowed to within the shoulders, but when the defender needs to move laterally to make a play, the olineman has to release. That is called every game, and is the correct call usually.

I guarantee if that was Mahomes taking off for a long run the flag stays in their pockets. He was releasing when Nix takes off, very questionable call.
