If any of y'all are casual boxing fans, lapsed boxing fans, or a boxing fan sickened at the recent Jake Paul sideshow there's an absurdly great card that just got announced for February.
TBRB is the most authoritative independent ranking body, so I'll use them to illustrate just how great of a card this is. It also shows how many stupid made up belts are in the sport, but the rankings are the main thing.
#2 Daniel Dubois (c) vs #3 Joseph Parker for the IBF heavyweight world title
#4 Zhilei Zhang vs #5 Agit Kabayel for the vacant interim WBC world heavyweight title
#2 Joshua Buatsi (c) vs #8 Callum Smith for the interim WBO world light heavyweight title
#4 Vergil Ortiz Jr. (c) vs #5 Israil Madrimov for the interim WBC world super welterweight title
#2 Carlos Adames (c) vs #4 Hamzah Sheeraz for the WBC middleweight world title
#3 Shakur Stevenson (c) vs unranked Richardson Hitchens for the WBC lightweight world title
C. Artur Beterbiev vs #1 Dmitry Bivol, rematch for the undisputed WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO/IBO/Ring/TBRB and lineal light heavyweight world championship
Each of these divisions has well over 1,000 active fighters promoted by different promoters in different countries and tied to different networks so to get this many top 5 and top 10 matchups on one card is ridiculously rare. Even UFC couldn't put together a card like this and they basically have 90% of the top 30 fighters in each weight class signed to exclusive deals.
