I thought Browning was okay, my friend in Arvada disagrees. Whatever the case, at least they're not goin' for it.

Browning wasn’t gonna be re-signed. They would have gotten some type of comp pick for him but then it would have been negated when the Broncos signed other free agents. So taking a 6th makes a lot of sense. It’s a guaranteed return of something for him.

Javonte could be gone this deadline as well. I think they’ll stick with Bolles and Sutton if nothing else for Nix to have safety blankets. I didn’t realize Javonte was in his contract year until just today.

The most interesting trade scenarios this deadline will be at backup QB. I’m sure they’re offering both guys extensions right now and will trade whoever doesn’t extend. But at the same time it sounds like both guys expect to be starters in this league so maybe we end up with neither being dealt away and losing them both at the end of the year. I’d love if they retained Wilson but I think he probably deserves another shot in this league.

I really thought Williams would be a much better RB than what he's shown.

No wonder teams don't pick these guys high unless it's a Saquon-type guaranteed top-3 RB in the league sort.

Just find some random RB in late rounds or UDFA instead of wasting a 2nd on a Williams.

Javonte going to get a minimal contract next year, just how it goes for RBs. Jaleel deserves to be the featured RB but no one believes he can survive it. If he stays healthy and gets good at pass pro I could see him with a big season, just has a jump that we haven't seen since early days of Lindsay.

Now what to do about Sutton...?
The Broncos need to either move him or get an actual legit #1WR. I think Sutton would be fine as a possession guy behind a legit difference maker, but he just doesn't have the dynamism to be the focal point of a WR group.

I think it's clear trading guys doesn't get you good value. You trade someone because you really don't want them around like the Adams deal or a deal where you have a declining vet taking snaps from youngsters. I could get behind a WR trade if the player is as good or better than Sutton but those guys don't get moved much.

Im bullish on the room though, I think Franklin and Vele can be much bigger contributors in time. We will see if Reynolds comes back ok in the meantime to push LJ to the bench. Plus the receiving squad would look a lot better if we got a catching threat TE, that's what I think they should be working the phones on. We haven't seen enough of these guys with an effective Nix to know what the future brings but after this week the road is a lot easier.

With the depth so bad on the broncos it doesn’t make a lot of sense to have taken a qb so high especially since by the time they surrounded him with talent he’d breaking the bank if all went right. And not surrounding him with any talent leads to what we’ve seen I have been less the impressed with their roster construction

Trading for talent is cheap. Look what even good WRs go for. The most important thing to do is find that franchise QB. Building a team before getting a QB will just leave you in limbo.

Pretty sure that was a 3. They nearly lost
Oh I miscounted. I had it in my head that they were ahead two and Strawther made one free throw so they were up by three.

Anyway that’s like their fifth comeback victory. They really need to quit living so dangerously but they’re getting it done. Hopefully the injury to Gordon isn’t severe.
