It did hit the defender, and then it hit our receiver in the hands, if you can't catch it, you swat it down. You don't pop it up for the defense.
Nobody is defending the receiver. It's been pointed out that he sucks multiple times by everyone here.

You just can't accept that it's possible that more than one guy screwed up on the same play.

If your play design is to let a lineman come free and your QB hits him with a pass, your QB has screwed up on that play. Everything up to that point is Bo's fault.

What happened AFTER that point was the WR's fault.

They both made an awful play. Period.

Key here is it hit the defender firstl? That just from your post makes me think he should have intercepted itI didn’t start watching the game until the third quarter
They let a lineman come free on a short pass and Bo hit the lineman with the ball. The receiver then had a chance to come down with it and didn't, then it got picked.

Bo screwed up, then Humphrey screwed up. But the Bo apologists are putting it all on Humphrey.

Team was always playing above their heads. They'll get a chance at redemption next week but won't be shocked if the wheels come off. Defence has been incredible but team lacks talent across the board. Bottom 3 offensive weapons.

I thought Nix was actually pretty good in the 1st half outside of that 4th down throw where he missed a TD. Would have been 17-14 if Bolles doesn't bear hug Kyle Hamilton as well. Still was 17-10. Next time Bo Nix saw the field it was 31-10. Offense made a ton of mistakes for sure. Leaving to much time for Jackson at the end of the half, Bo missing Franklin, Williams not reaching on 4th and 1, typical WR bullshit etc. but the Broncos weren't stopping Jackson today no matter what.

Nix threw it over one of the linemen, but the lineman got the tippy-top of his finger on the ball. It was still on target and was a very catchable ball for Humphrey, but being a terrible football player, he instead popped it up for the defense for the interception.

He got it over the lineman clean enough for a catch. I don't care who the QB is, that's not their fault.

I have given him props when I have seen positive and when ever I say anything negative I’m a hater. Guess I just don’t wear Homer glasses. It’s bizzare

If you throw a ball and it hits something other than what you were throwing it at, it's your fault. It's absolutely ludicrous to claim otherwise.

After that happened, the WR also screwed up. Because he sucks too. Two separate instances of suck on the same play.

Bo had an objectively good first half of play. Hasn't been good since sure but there are obvious areas to be pleased by from a rookie QB. To say that he was garbage or awful is just wrong. Completely wrong. Just soaked in negative bias.

Love how lionsDen and famicommander come out of the woodworks to jump down Nix's throat the second Broncos as team had a bad day. We are all fully aware you two absolutely hate him. And you two are allowed your opinion.

I guess it must have slipped your minds but here is refresher. The past 6 games the 5-1 record, the rookie of the month he earned as by far the best rookie QB last month.

I think most of us call that progress and realize that a so so game today against a pissed off arguably most talented team in the league on the road, doesn't mean much other than learn from it.

Strength of schedule has kept the broncos afloat. This outcome was expected against a possible superbowl team.

Bo is a rookie with receivers that are not playing well. We all knew this season was a throwaway development year, but the weak schedule fooled some people I guess.

Every time we play a good team we lose. Every single NFL GM would trade Bo and two firsts for Jayden Daniels right now. Every single one.

The QBs responsibility is to get the ball to the wide receiver. It doesn't matter how that happens as long as it gets to the wide receiver. It got to the wide receiver.

Utter delusion.

It's really hard to adjust to a deflection on such a short flight path for a pass. The WR SHOULD make that play but it's the quarterback's job not to put him in that position to begin with.

Yes he SHOULD make that play. Any NFL wide receiver SHOULD make that play. That's why I'm blaming the guy that SHOULD make the play. Your a NFL wide out, not every ball is going to be clean in your chest. The QB delivered you a catchable ball. If you SHOULD make the catch, f***ing do it.

The NFL QB SHOULD get that pass to him without a deflection. Period. It was an incredibly easy throw and he hit a 300 pound man with the ball in open space.

He gave him a catchable ball. That's on no one but the WR. Unless you expect a QB to be 100% accurate on every throw.

If a ball hits a WR in the hands, even if it grazes a defensive player, and they pop it into the air, it's on them not the QB.

This isn't a new concept, any coach in NFL would agree that if the QB gets you the ball and hits both your hands and you pop it into the air that's on the WR.

You're acting like the ball drastically altered direction and Humphrey adjusted and tried to make a hero play but accidentally knocked into the air. When in reality the balled was grazed, didn't even alter direction much, hit him in the f***ing hands and he pops it into air. NFL receivers don't do that.

If you can expect the WR to catch 100% of passes that come near him regardless of deflections, you should expect your QB to make 100% of easy short passes without getting them deflected.

Or you could show the smallest amount of consistency and honesty and just admit that both guys made a bad play.

Would you be making the same argument if it was Mahomes and his WR batted a ball that hit him in the hands into air for an easy INT.

I highly doubt it, you'd be calling the WR trash. Because that's the reality. The WR, Humphrey was trash on that play, not Nix.

I have called the WR trash over and over and over again both today and on many other days.

You just can't conceive of the idea that more than one guy can screw up on the same play. But that's what happened. Move on with your life.
